With the recent run a wet weather resulting in abandoned meetings, Racing Victoria has added an extra meeting to its schedule. 

Wangaratta will hold a meeting on Sunday to coincide with the previously scheduled meeting at Bendigo. 

Already this week, Swan Hill on Monday and Echuca on Tuesday were abandoned without a race being run because of rain-sodden tracks. 

RV made the decision on Wednesday to add the extra meeting, with nominations closing later in the day and acceptances on Thursday. 

It was decided to program the meeting in the north-east of the state to ease ballot pressure and provide additional opportunities for horses impacted by those abandonments.
