The Anthony and Sam Freedman trained mare campaigned in Adelaide in 2020 winning a Benchmark 60 at Murray Bridge before Group 3 success in the SA Fillies Classic at Morphettville.

She ran fifth in the Sydney Cup in 2021 before winning the Andrew Ramsden Stakes, but her 2022 form ticks all the right boxes that sees her as the leading Australian-trained contender.

She comes off an eye-catching third in the Metropolitan in Sydney over 2400m and Sam Freedman is confident Realm Of Flowers is going into the race in perfect order.

"The 3200m is the perfect trip for her,'' Freedman said.

"She's got a great record at Flemington. She rarely runs a bad race there and she handles all types of going.

"We think we've got her pretty right,'' he said.

Freedman's sentiments have been echoed by punters, Realm Of Flowers the best backed to beat favourite Deauville Legend, who will be ridden by South Australian Kerrin McEvoy chasing a fourth Melbourne Cup victory.
