RACE 1 - 1:40PM SE Voice Newspaper Maiden Plate (1550 METRES)

IBUTHO looks well suited here he was placed at big odds at Penola behind Duo Perna two runs back, the winner has done so again since, and he led and was only just grabbed late at Great Western as a $7.50 chance. There isn't a lot of depth here and won't find a more winnable race. GO NOW was good here two starts back when 2nd behind Bywonner and maps well from the good gate. THAT'S UNFORTUNATE has been around the mark and draws the inside gate. WONGA FLYER is a 27 start maiden who has been around the mark with placings here and at Nhill before running 4th behind Bywonner last time and must be respected.

RACE 2 - 2:15PM Benara Pastoral Maiden Plate (900 METRES)

MISTER HENDERSHOT was $5 into $3 on debut at Naracoorte when 3rd behind Favashem. The winkers go on, he draws a nice gate and looks hard to beat here. PERFECT COSTA was runner-up in the same race at Naracoorte, she draws well and should be in the mix. BRIDIE JEAN is on debut for Darryl Dodson and was placed behind Choggy's My Mate at Bordertown in a recent trial and draws a nice gate. FILLENTINA is the interesting runner who hasn't done a lot in two runs before trialling OK and Mick Kent doesn't come here often. CASSANDRA ISABEL has been placed at 12 of her 19 starts and comes off an OK run behind Storm Hunter. ROYAL FOXTROT is on debut for the Jaensch stable and trialled OK, the stable is having a good run. MR MERCEDES was well beaten in a trial but gets blinkers for his debut.

RACE 3 - 2:50PM Nutrien Ag Solutions Benchmark 58 Handicap (900 METRES)

GLENFERRIE GIRL is a speedy mare who was only just grabbed at Moonee Valley over the 955m two runs back before another solid effort behind Mamaragan and Jean Valjean over the 1000m last time. She gets the inside gate and is going to take some running down in this class. DESERT SPIRIT goes fast with 6 of his 8 wins coming at 1000m. He has a good fresh record but is winless here. He'll take some running down. WARMINSTER is racing well winning here three starts back before chasing home Little Rich Boy and Lianne at his past two. He'll get a good run here and could be the danger if the two leaders cut each other up. CADBOLL can run well here on a handy Moonee Valley run three starts back. OAMARU POPPY was a winner here two starts back.

RACE 4 - 3:25PM Living Turf Class One Handicap (1200 METRES)

MISS REMSKI drifted in betting but was too sharp up on speed beating Exalted Dane at Gawler. She draws a perfect gate and is the one to beat here. TEXTA DEXTA was too strong for Awen at Strathalbyn last time out. He draws well and looks a danger. CAPTAIN ROGERS was a Cranbourne winner four starts back and draws to get a good run behind the speed. ROLL ME AWAY ran well behind Dash It at Bordertown last time.

RACE 5 - 4:00PM Carlton Draught Benchmark 64 Handicap (1200 METRES)

GRAND HOST looks well placed here. He was a good Murray Bridge winner two runs back before making good ground from a long way back behind Little Rich Boy at Murray Bridge last start. He draws out but should be strong late. SIZZLING SONATA was a Wangaratta winner here starts back and gets the blinkers going on for the first time from an inside gate. SOOBMERGED won consecutive races back in September. He was good first-up from a break behind Dothraki and he should be in the mix from a middle gate. STAR JAN was a winner here three starts back and OK behind Hamslette last time which stacks up OK. VIVACIOUS AWARD was a Warracknabeal winner two runs back and was placed at his only start here. She draws out but looks suited in a race like this. ROHLON DRUNK has been placed at his past. LOAD AND GO has been around the mark.

RACE 6 - 4:35PM Scott Group of Companies Mount Gambier Gold Cup Friday 31 March Benchmark 70 Handicap (1800 METRES)

FRANKEL STAR has won two 2 of his past 3, both at Murray Bridge where he carried 61.5kg last time. He gets in well at the weights here after the claim, draws a middle gate and should take some beating again. RIOTOUS MISCHIEF is more than capable in a race like this and out to 1800m looks ideal. She draws out but that suits her pattern, and she can be in the finish. EAGLES FOREVER was a Gawler winner in December and should be on speed and take some running down here. Stablemate HEIR OF TAVISTOCK was a Gawler winner three runs back and should race handy from a good gate and be in the finish. SESAR has been runner-up his past two must be given some thought. AEROETTE is back in trip after winning at Bordertown last time.

RECREANT has a good record and went to the paddock beating Whiskey 'N' Women at Murray Bridge. He has two good trials under his belt, he draws wide but looks hard to beat here. SUPREME THUNDER is a former Matt Williams galloper who has been runner-up at his past three, the latest at Warrnambool behind Lottacheex when favourite. He maps well from the middle gate and looks well placed. CARAK has 5 of 10 starts here, the latest two starts back beating Brawl. He disappointed behind Don Perna at Naracoorte last time but gets some weight relief. BOOM BOOM SWEET had specking first-up for the Bobbin stable when 3rd behind Star Waltz at Werribee. He draws a sticky gate with plenty of weight but must be respected. PICK ME made ground first-up from a spell. He jumps in trip and should thereabouts.
