For all foals sired by a Queensland stallion in 2022 and beyond, the $13 million scheme now offers more value than ever with nominations fees scrapped ahead of the upcoming Sale.

Two and three-year-old Saturday metropolitan winners will continue to enjoy prize money boosts across the board, with fillies ($85,550) and colts & geldings ($73,300) bonuses adding incredible incentive on top of the standard $48,800 winners' cheque.

Additionally, the scheme will now offer four-year-old QTIS bonus prize money on a number of Saturday and mid-week metropolitan races, as well as lucrative provincial and non-TAB racing across the state for 4YO+ horses.

QTISx will continue to offer bonuses on all black-type and feature races across the state, with connections able to choose between the cash bonus or double its value as a voucher to be used towards the cost of a QTIS-eligible horse at selected sales.

Racing Queensland EGM Operations Adam Wallish said QTIS speaks volumes of the desire to support all sectors of the thoroughbred code including breeders, owners and trainers.

"QTIS remains at the forefront of national breeding schemes, providing added incentive for participants to support Queensland's racing and breeder industries," Mr Wallish said.

"As an exciting addition to the scheme in recent years, we continue to see great success in QTISx, which provides bonuses and sales vouchers on black-type and feature races to re-invest back into the local industry.

"This is all part of our plan to ensure that industry participants continue to buy, breed and back Queensland racing."

QTIS takes centre stage throughout March, thanks to the showcase $2 million Queensland Jewel Raceday.

Staged on March 18, the Jewel meeting will be hosted at the Brisbane Racing Club this year and will once again be headlined by the $500,000 2YO QTIS Jewel and 3YO QTIS Jewel.

The two major features will be accompanied by a $10,000 breeders' bonus to the winner, with double prize money incentives on the majority of races across the meeting if the winner is QTIS-registered.

Following the Queensland Jewel Raceday, attention shifts to the 2023 Gold Coast March Yearling Sale on Monday, March 20 at the famous Magic Millions Sales Complex, with close to 400 lots set to go under the hammer – all QTIS eligible.

The 2022 sale saw more than $12.5 million grossed on 320 lots, sold at an average price of almost $40,000.

A number of Queensland's champion thoroughbreds – including Buffering ($22,000), Apache Chase ($50,000) and Prince Of Boom ($20,000) – have graduated through the March sale, highlighting the incredible value on offer.

Thoroughbred Breeders Queensland Association President Basil Nolan said that Queensland's breeding industry remains as strong as ever, with stallions Spirit Of Boom and Better Than Ready ensuring QTIS remains one of the most enticing in the country.

"The prize money on offer for Queensland-bred horses to race here in the Sunshine State is nothing short of outstanding and unmatched nation-wide," Mr. Nolan said.

"For example, a QTIS-registered filly can win up to $85,550 for a standard Saturday race, which is more than some recent feature races south of the border.

"Queensland's stallion ranks are as strong as ever presently, and more recently we've seen Queensland Champion First Season Stallion, The Mission, burst on to the scene, headlined by his King of the Mountain-winning son Yellow Brick."
