- Danehill and Star Kingdom have sired five Slipper winners each. Star Kingdom actually sired the first five winners.
- Six horses have gone on to win the Sydney Juvenile Triple Crown starting with the Golden Slipper - Baguette (1970), Luskin Star (1977), Tierce (1991), Burst (1992), Dance Hero (2004) and Pierro (2012).
- Damian Lane won the 2019 Slipper and would go on to win the next two legs of the 'Big 4' - Caulfield Cup (Mer De Glace) and the Cox Plate (Lys Gracieux) but missed the Grand Slam in the Melbourne Cup.
- Farnan's only defeat prior to the Slipper win came on the Gold Coast in the Magic Millions. In that race both he and the Sires/Champagne winner King's Legacy missed the placings.
- The 2021 Golden Slipper was pushed back one week after the original date was a wash-out.
- Fireburn nearly got put over the inside rail and Brenton Avdulla nearly fell off yet she ended up winning by 2½ lengths in 2022.
- Learning To Fly looks to join Vancouver, Pierro and Sebring as the only unbeaten Slippers winners in the last 20 years.
