With Barend Vorster facing an extended period on the sidelines as he continues his recovery from concussion, Lachlan Neindorf sits just six wins behind Jake Toeroek after winning aboard Dixie Whistler for Gordon Richards and Damien Moyle and the David Jolly-trained Two Times Twice.

Toeroek leads the Premiership with 31 wins for the season with Vorster on 26 and Neindorf moving to 25.

Victorian raider Sorel Rising was the day's most impressive winner via an armchair ride from Todd Pannell aboard the Brent Stanley trained galloper cruising to victory early in the day while the David Aldridge-trained Chicago Storm proved too smart later in the day with Sheriden Tomlinson in the saddle.

And Ryan Balfour's Larkham extended his love affair with the Parks track winning his sixth race on the inner circuit with Alana Livesey in the saddle in the last.

AT Port Lincoln on Sunday Grinzinger Allee made amends for his game defeat in the Port Lincoln Cup by winning the 110th Kimba Cup.

Heavily backed to run a $2.50 favourite it wasn't until the final stride Grinzinger Alleee got the better of Midnight Brawler in a ripping finish.

It was the second leg of a riding double for Ben Price who combined with Grinzinger Allee's trainer Kylie McKerlie earlier in the day to win aboard Commando Miss, Price sharing riding honours with Sairyn Fawke and Kayla Crowther.

AND at Hobart on Sunday SA rider Felicity Atkinson had to be content with a third placing in the second leg of the National Apprentice Series, won by former local Lizzie Annells, after finishing down the track in the first of two races.

Fellow SA apprentice Teagan Voorham made the trip home to ride and won the opening race aboard Bobble.
