The newest additions to the South Australian riding ranks both landed their first race wins, Caitlyn Munro aboard Frankel Star at Murray Bridge early in the month before Tootell guided Comfort Girl home at Strathalbyn for boss and mentor Shayne Cahill at just her seventh race ride.

Britney Wong had a good month in the saddle winning the Kangaroo Island Cup via a late pick-up ride aboard Hamslette for Bordertown training combination of James and Lisa Dodgson, while apprentice riders claimed five of the seven winners on the opening day of the KI Carnival.

Former Queensland and northern New South Wales apprentice Sheriden Tomlinson landed his first city winner in SA when Endlessly was successful while Jacob Opperman claimed another feature race win when Farooq defied rival in the Listed Premier's Plate.

Teagan Voorham rode the most winners (seven) for the month while Ben Price boasted the best strike-rate for February riding at 12 per cent runners to winners.

Price finished the month in style with a city double at Morphettville when Philonize returned impressively, and More Sugar were successful.
