Stars head to Morphettville for the Sangster

John Allen will partner lightly-raced filly Ruthless Dame in Saturday’s $502,250 Group 1 Sansgter Stakes (1200m) at Morphettville.

Fresh from his win in last weekend's Group 1 Australasian Oaks, his sixth Group 1 in Adelaide, John Allen will again team with Ciaron Maher and David Eustace as they chase a second successive Sangster victory after winning with Snapdancer last year.

Ben Melham will ride stablemate Bella Nipotina while Ben Allen will partner the third of the Maher/Eustace runners Marabi.

Bella Nipotina has been the horse to battle Passive Aggressive ($4) for favouritism, firming from $6 into $4.50 with tab.com.au.

Craig Williams will ride September Run, who finished third last year, for the Chris Waller stable while Michael Dee has been booked to ride stablemate and last start Group 1 Coolmore winner Espiona.

Damien Oliver will ride the James Cummings-trained Zapateo who has won her past two in Sydney in the Group 3 Birthday Card Stakes and Group 2 Sapphire Stakes at Rosehill last time out.

Local hopes with be with Jason Holder who rides Another Award for Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas while Teagan Voorham will be in the saddle aboard Chris Bieg's Diamonds.
