WILD IRISH ROVER (11) is a promising type who has been ready to return for some time but has been chasing firmer footing. Trialled up nicely, just has a wide alley to contest. RISE TO IT (9) is a So You Think gelding stepping out on debut for the dominant Maher & Eustace stable. Readied for this with a trial placing and gets the Blinkers on to help focus. YAZH (17) showed great early toe at the latest when leading them into the lane before fading near the line into second. Can race prominently again from the draw. Worth some thought. BLUE GUITAR (2) best of the rest.

GEELONG: RACE 7 @ 4:30 PM
BRINICLE (8) missed a nose at Adelaide before easily winning the Ararat Maiden on the slow. Linda sticks and can position him forward. Fitter and can take the next step. THE BIG FREEZE (9) has won and just-missed his last two from the speed on slow tracks. They stack right up and the barrier isn't as onerous after scratchings. Feared. MISO (2) resumes and was an easy slow track Maiden winner before the break. Will have come on and uses the rail. SUGAR AND SWEET (4) resumes and will be very competitive if presented on-song. A wet track won't bother.
