WARRNAMBOOL: RACE 5 @ 3:00 PM

FRANKENSTAR (2) is on the quick back up off a narrow win on Tuesday at Geelong. His form prior was sound including a narrow defeat to Fast Foils on Cup Day and then a close up effort behind Bruno Stars. That form reads well for this and he can make it two on end out to what looks a suitable trip. STAR STOCK (5) ran an improved race last start and from a forward position in the run he could take catching around his home course. RAFFISH (4) has placed in all three starts for the new yard and this trip looks like it will suit. He's in the mix. LANDGRAVE (6) hasn't threatened of late but gets to the right race. He could be capable of sharp improvement out to this trip and appeals each way. SELECTIONS: Frankenstar can book his spot in next years Jericho.

GERALDTON: RACE 7 @ 4:20 PM

EDMOND (1) resumed further improved winning the CL2 and then ran favourite again tacking 70 level and was beaten a nose from the speed. Gets the big weight lift but tipping he's go these covered. ARABIAN RICHES (3) has just missed the three starts back and they stack right up. Peaks and gets another chance. WHAT ABOUT MOSES (2) is better than the form-line suggests. Has a 2kg claim today and the blinkers on again. Comes back to a sprint and can go better. DJANGO DREAM (4) needed the first up outing and the extra 200m suits. He's a first-four hope. SELECTIONS: Backing Edmond.

NEWCASTLE: RACE 5 @ 3:35 PM

SOUND OF CANNONS (2) was a touch disappointing last time out but the form prior was full of merit. Has placed over this course and distance and will prove very hard to hold out. ROSIE IMPACT (7) is a model of consistency who has only missed the top-five once in her past 11 outings, and that was at Group 1 level. Sure to play a major role in the outcome. KOZLUCA (5) improved sharply to salute at Hawkesbury at the latest effort and will take some confidence from that victory. In the mix on best form. KINGDOM OF GOLD (3) is yet to miss a drum in three attempts over this track and trip and should be right there at the business end. SKY ACE (1) next best with the claim. SELECTIONS: Sound Of Cannons to win.

STRATHALBYN: RACE 3 @ 2:03 PM

HAMSLETTE (2) produced a much improved effort when finishing runner up last start at Naracoorte, and though she was a beaten favourite on that occasion her effort was still full of merit. Follow your money. ALPHAEUS (7) has drawn wide but has pace and can cross early. He will be peaking third up and the two kilo apprentice claim is a welcome bonus. He has won on this track before and should give his backers a great sight for a long way. Include in all combinations. MADAME BOITIER (4) has changed stables since last racing and has placed at a recent trial. She would only have to race up to her best Victorian form to be a big threat in this field. She won't be long winning a race in this area. Watch for her late. SELECTIONS: Hamslette can win this.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 5 @ 3:25 PM

TUBTHUMPER (13) is in a top barn and has threatened the three starts this preparation. There was only 1L in it at Ipswich the latest bet a 4-5F. Loy will use the rail and the filly should be winning. TYSON'S FURY (10) was quickly back on track placing at Ipswich behind Aircraftman. Draws for the run of the race and will go close. DESIGNATED SURVIVA (4) resumes for the Healy yard and the recent trial suggests he'll come back better. A betting watch. HOUSTON ROCKET (5) draws wide but may be best of the others. SELECTIONS: Backing Tubthumper to win.

TRARALGON: RACE 8 @ 4:30 PM

HOLSTER (2) is racing in peak from this time in and undefeated at this trip. Gave nothing else a chance when a slick 5.5 len win over 1850m at Terang on November 12. Jumps in weight today, but that shouldn't be enough to stop him. The one to beat. NOT A PROBLEM (12) will strip much fitter here third-up after a running a tough third over 1600m at Bairnsdale at latest. Looks the value runner from the draw. STARSPANGLED BABY (6) will be rock-hard fit now following a nice effort at Sandown-Lakeside last start when third. That stacks right up. SELECTIONS: Holster to win.
