GOSFORD: RACE 4 @ 3:10 PM
MR WALLACE (3) has been thereabouts in his two resuming efforts but has struggled to land the knockout blow. Blinkers get applied first time to help sharpen and he draws ideally under T Clark. Profiles very nicely. OVOID (5) failed to pay the punters first up when finishing fifth at Hawkesbury. Strips fitter and is worth another chance. SMOOTH FLIGHT (1) found the minors fresh. Open to further improvement.

BELMONT PARK: RACE 6 @ 4:30 PM
SKY DUKE (3) is an improver ready to win off the three placed runs. There was only a lip in it at Ascot the latest in stronger grade. The rails barrier advantages. BELLE'S FANTASY (2) peaks and go on the near miss at Ascot two-back. Has a handy gate and Harvey goes on. LADY TORNADO (6) resumed at Ascot and needed it. She's a second-up winner with more to offer. Draws awkwardly but Pike rides first time and count on him to manage. NATURAL AIRCHIEF (1) resumed in good order and has a low gate and handy 3kg claim. Fitter and in the mix.

GEELONG: RACE 4 @ 2:45 PM
CHOQUANT (1) showed promise in his maiden campaign, running second at both runs, the latest at Pakenham synthetic over 1600m when beaten a short margin. Resumes over 1500m which looks ideal and this looks a winnable maiden. BEST LIFE (7) was last seen over 1850m at Terang over 1850m when running third before a spell. The 1500m looks perfect first up and she draws well. OUR TOTAL RECALL (13) showed great improvement second up at Bendigo and should strip fitter again third up. Does draw wide but has a chance. MAJESTIC STYLE (11) has plenty of upside after a good effort on debut at this track. The rise in trip should suit and she can improve sharply.

GAWLER: RACE 4 @ 3:05 PM
CHARLESFORT (8) has placed in both of his runs in this new prep, he raced wide in the run home last start but fought on well to finish a game third. He will strip a lot fitter today and in this line-up rates as the runner to beat. SIPSMITH (5) looks close to a winning run having finished second here last start over 1100m when coming from seventh on the turn, that run followed a solid run for third over 1300m when well supported. Hard to see him not finishing in the money given his latest performances. FORTIS IN ARMIS (10) was well backed last start over 1200m when making his racing debut but could only finish sixth of 10 runners, will improve with that run under his belt and has top-three claims. FAMOUS KNIGHT (9) is having his third lifetime start after finishing a solid fourth over 1100m at this track when sent out at long odds. Battled on well last start and in a fitter state today should be included in exotic bets.
SELECTIONS: Charlesfort to win.
GOLD COAST: RACE 7 @ 4:48 PM
TAREX (5) resumed at 1400m heavily-bet and met some trouble. He's suited over the longer trip and he draws low with the winkers applied first time. Wins at best and should be fit enough. ALDERMAN (2) is bursting to win and there was nothing in it at Doomben the latest. He positions handy and is in well with the 2kg claim. RED LIGHT ROXANNE (8) resumed in good order over a sprint and the lift to the 1700m shouldn't bother. In the mix. NAMAKWA (1) is an improver in a strong barn and is also worth a look.
