ORANGE: RACE 7 @ 4:50 PM

Two key hopes in the Cup. KNIFE'S EDGE (3) lengthened nicely to get the verdict at the latest. Carries more weight this time but he has earned that and rates the best winning chance. NIECES AND NEPHEWS (2) is racing in great touch of late with a two wins and a placing from his last three starts. Boasts a healthy record over this distance and is sure to be competitive. Should get on speed and run along. NAPOLEON SOLO (6) has been battling away fairly. Looks best of the rest in a race with a strong two at the top. SELECTIONS: Knife's Edge to win the Cup.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 6 @ 3:24 PM

GLAMOUR AND GLORY (5) won here first-up for the new yard as favourite turning the immediate Victorian form around. He can secure the run of the race and she's capable of taking the next step. HEY BIG SPLENDA (1) resumed for the premier barn and is good enough. The negative is the 506 days from the races. Having said that she's trialled well in town and Maloney's booking is a positive lead. BARBARY ROYALE (8) resumes off a good city trial and will run along from the rials gate. Performs fresh and her best would have her in the finish. UNLIKELYOCCURRENCE (7) improved again beaten a lip here. That stacks up but she has to manage a shorter sprint off a brief freshen. SELECTIONS: Backing Glamour And Glory.

BENALLA: RACE 3 @ 2:50 PM

MAXIMS (2) is in the premier barn and was just beaten on debut as favourite. Draws handy and John Allen takes over. Fitter and should be winning on the back of that good debut. YOU BETCHA WOO (4) placed here 10 days ago and peaks. Good enough to keep the favourite honest if that is the case. EMMJAY (7) finished three lengths away in third last time out at Wagga and also fronts up here on a 10-day back-up. Good effort last start and should be in the finish. SELECTIONS: Backing Maxims.

GERALDTON: RACE 7 @ 6:04 PM

EXTRA SECRET (1) won fresh up at Belmont when starting as favourite and then followed that effort up with only a fair run second up. She will find this much easier and the blinkers go on for the first time. The draw will suit and she is the one to beat. MYSTERY MAN (2) came from a long way back and came with a well timed run to score comfortably last start in a nice return to form. He is up two kilos for that win and if coping with the weight rise then he can win again. PLEASE GOD (3) is fresh up for astute trainer Ryan Hill. He has had a quiet trial to prepare and is worth considering for all combinations. Follow any positive market moves. SILVER BO (5) had no luck last start after being blocked in the straight. She is reunited with senior hoop Natasha Faithful and with a clear run she is worth following up. Include. SELECTIONS: Extra Secret to win.

LISMORE: RACE 5 @ 4:04 PM

CABRINELLA (10) has a fitness edge over most of these and gets all the favours from the draw. Found the line late when second over 1000m at the Sunshine Coast on January 1. Extra trip suits. TOOMUCHINFORMATION (1) got off the mark over 1200m at Murwillumbah last start with a sharp 3.5 len win on December 27. Will handle the class rise and take plenty of holding out. MAJORELLE (4) returned from a break with an encouraging fourth over 800m at Kilcoy on December 13. Has placed second up and extra trip helps. Can atone. PLAYGIRL (11) has shown plenty of upside in her first prep winning on debut and then placing at her next start. Pay to forgive latest 5th on December 27 and can take a hand in the finish. SELECTIONS: Cabrinella to win.

MOE: RACE 8 @ 5:25 PM

COMMODUS (2) has turned in some handy runs in town at his last three runs including latest eye-catching third over 1600m at Moonee Valley in Bm70 grade on December 31. This looks much easier and will take a ton of stopping from the inside draw. RIPPLEBROOK (3) brings some strong figures to this race and goes well this track and trip. Claim helps and likely to be hitting the line late from the wide gate. FLYING BASIL (5) has improved sharply at his last two outings and has excellent stats this track and trip. Will appreciate the good early tempo. HIGH DONE (1) has finished just off the minor placings in two of his latest four runs at Moonee Valley. Drops sharply in grade and represents good each-way value. SELECTIONS: Commodus to win.
