STRATHALBYN: RACE 3 @ 2:08PM:

LORD MORTON (7) resumes from a spell having finished a nose second of 10 runners over 1100m. Previous winner here who will be ready to fire fresh-up and rates as the runner to beat. TOAST THE DEEL (14) resumed start to finish second of 13 runners over 1100m, in a fitter state today looks to be a leading contender. PUNCHIN (10) resumes from a spell and should be ready to go a bold race following a recent placing at the trials. Should have come back a lot stronger for this new prep and has solid each-way claims. KUSHAN KHANIVALE (9) is a three-year-old gelding by Rich Enuff from Carnivale on debut today. Has the blinkers on and can run a place fresh-up.

SELECTIONS: Lord Morton to win.

TOWNSVILLE: RACE 8 @ 4:36PM:

LEADERSHIP SPILL (2) probably should have won last start but just knocked off late and was out-kicked by a horse to his inside. The blinkers going on should help keep his mind on the job and he is set to go one better today. WANNA TWEET (9) was a beaten favourite last start and is knocking on the door with three second placings in a row. Go again. ENDORSE (4) ran out in search of better ground last start after leading early in what may not have been the best decision, as it was he faded late to finish seventh. He will be at his peak fourth up and Ryan Wiggins will be looking to set the record straight. Allow another chance. Each-way. STIFLING (8) ran on nicely fresh up and will strip fitter for that run. More importantly, top hoop Chris Whiteley takes over the reins. Her record on wet tracks is outstanding and she should be right in the finish.

SELECTIONS: Leadership Spill to win.

SAPPHIRE COAST: RACE 7 @ 4:50PM:

MANDERBOSS (12) brings the strongest form to the race and looks placed to advantage here after his eye-catching fourth behind Banju over 1500m at Rosehill on January 14. On the limit weight here and should prove too good for these from the draw. THIS'LLBETHEONE (13) is a John O'Shea trained gelding freshened up for this after running a plugging sixth over 1600m at Randwick on December 24. Kept up to the mark with a recent Randwick trial placing and expected to take a hand in the finish. TROOPER KNUCKLE (16) has won four of his last five starts and deserves his shot at this after scoring a gutsy win over 1500m at Rosehill two weeks ago in C3 Highway company. Brendan Ward back on today and racing too well to dismiss. IVERSON (18) races best this track and trip and stays in calculations after Canberra 1600m win on January 11. This tougher but will relish the weight drop.

SELECTIONS: Manderboss to win.

GEELONG: RACE 7 @ 4:55PM:

ATTRITION (10) is lightly raced and has plenty of upside. He ran out an easy winner resuming in town last start as favourite to break his Maiden. This looks the natural progression and he can use this as a platform to better races. He's the one to beat again with added fitness. LEGIONNAIRE (1) got a confidence boosting win around this circuit last start when dropping sharply in grade and distance. He appeals again on an each basis now he's recaptured winning ways. KALIUWAA FALLS (3) ran an encouraging race when resuming in town last start in a race run in fast time. He's unbeaten in two starts over this course and distance range. Keep safe. RUTHERFORD (9) lost her chance at the start last time out but is capable of sharp improvement here third up from a long break. STELVIO (7) has been close up in handy races at his past three starts and can add value to the multiples here.

SELECTIONS: Attrition appears destined for better races.

BENALLA: RACE 10 @ 5:13PM:

REVOLUTIONIST (9) stuck on fairly last time out after being caught wide and without cover at Moe. He not only drops back in trip, but he's back in grade too which is a big tick. He carries no weight after the claim and looks the one to beat despite the wide draw. ENAMOUR (7) resumes with a solid trial under her belt. Should be fitter for the trial and if she can return in the same form she ended last campaign, she can make her presence felt. CEEJAY (3) will appreciate the slight rise in trip after finding them a touch too quick at Werribee last time out. Harry Coffey is in brilliant form of late and he takes the ride. He's a winner second-up and will give a huge sight. MISS MOUSE (6) steps out in trip where she's placed 3/4. Not to be discounted.

SELECTIONS: Siding with Revolutionist.

PINJARRA SCARPSIDE: RACE 9 @ 5:35PM:

SOLID GOLD (3) is clearly the horse to beat with the advantage of gate one. Too strong at Belmont last time and finds a very winnable race again. Should be right in the finish. WUNDERKIND (12) has been racing well this time in with placings here and at Belmont. Doesn't win out of turn but only has to hold form to be competitive again. ATABOY CHARLIE (2) is fitter for two runs back and held his ground okay on both occasions at this track. Extra 100m a plus and has a chance to improve into the placings at least. MISS INTENTION (4) and SECRET DEPLOY (5) are next best on an each-way basis.

SELECTIONS: Solid Gold to win. Trifecta 3-2,4,5,12/2,4,5,12.
