Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Gosford, Pakenham, Ipswich and Albury.

GOSFORD: RACE 5 @ 3:30 PM

FAIRWAY STAR (6) has followed up her maiden win with two solid showings. Ticking along nicely and is sure to be getting involved if she can hold her form. SPITFIRE (3) got off the mark two back and went close to making it two on the bounce when lengthening nicely to get close to the winner at Canberra last time out. Shoulders a solid record over this journey and can take a strong account of himself again. BEL SUONO (8) didn't give her rivals a s niff two back when leading pillar to post at Moruya. Was below her best last time but a return to form can see her in the finish. GORSHIN (7) best of the rest.
SELECTIONS: Fairway Star gets the nod.

PAKENHAM: RACE 3 @ 6:45 PM

TAPIN' THREE (11) has only been to the races twice previously and has performed well on each occasion. Will strip fitter for first-up effort at Sandown and is expected to give this a shake. ORTEGA (6) sat midfield on debut before winding up strongly to figure in the money on debut. Will be improved by the experience. Worthy of consideration. DODI (3) produced some encouraging signs on debut when just behind the placegetters at this track. Will be improved by the experience and has to be respected. JESSUP (5) has placed in both runs to date and there was a lot to like about his latest effort at Geelong. Should be around the money.
SELECTIONS: Back Tapin' Three to win.

IPSWICH: RACE 4 @ 3:18 PM

NED'S GULLY (3) led and spaced a CL2 field here 17 days ago. Ran a big figure for this and will control the race from the rail. She's sure to take beating. TURBOART (5) is fast and was overrun late at the Sunshine Coast. The two close-up efforts prior stand-up and he gets in light with the 3kg claim. STORMY ROCK (1) presents third-up off much stronger races. He is hard to catch but has the ability and Orman's booking suggests a much improved run is on the cards. OCEAN EMPEROR (2) led and gave little at Eagle Farm. He's back in class off a freshen and the form prior has him in the mix.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Ned's Gully.

ALBURY: RACE 7 @ 5:50 PM

Not much between the better ones. AUNTY DOLL (10) is still a Maiden but rates well for this and be forgiving of the latest when she had to burn petrol from a wide gate to lead. Has the winkers on again and is in light this grade with a 3kg claim atop. Draws to advantage and gets the nod. SMART POPPY (2) wasn't beaten far in stronger grade at Wangaratta improving again. Peaks now but needs a good ride from the sticky barrier. IMPROPER (5) is in a sharp local yard and is close to a win. The gate is handy and an in-form apprentice rides. AMEN BROTHER (3) led and spaced the Maidens at Wagga bet an 8-15 favourite. Has a top hoop aboard and is a chance to repeat.
SELECTIONS: Aunty Doll can break through.
