Meetings are today held at Bendigo, Gerladton, Hobart, Naracoorte, Nowra, Sunshine Coast, Tuncurry and Werribee.

BENDIGO: RACE 8 @ 4:55 PM

VANKUKLA (5) capped a narrow defeat two starts ago with an easy win last start when well supported. He can race handy to the speed and looks a great chance of making it two on end. VIENNA VIXEN (8) impressed when running out an easy winner last start when on debut. She ran good time on that occasion and looks to have plenty of upside. She looms as a danger despite an awkward gate. BATTAGLIA (6) doesn't win out of turn but will make his own luck on speed. His two runs back from a spell have been good behind some handy types and he looks a sound each way prospect. SOREL RISING (4) will appreciate the sharp drop in class third up off the back of two good runs in good races. Include among the main hopes. HILLCREST MOSES (3) has run well at his past two including a fast finishing effort for third last start when coming from well back. Keep safe. SELECTIONS: Vankukla can win again.

GERALDTON: RACE 4 @ 3:55 PM

WESTOZI (2) is in strong form with two wins from six attempts this prep, he races well at this track and added to his record last start with a strong victory over 1600m when sent out as the favourite. Looks well placed to carry on his winning way. DESIGNATED DRINKER (1) is the winner of four in a row after his last start win at this track when coming from last on the turn. In his current form it's hard to see him not figuring in the finish. VANMAN (6) has four placings from five runs this prep and was in the money last start when finishing second at this track. Well overdue a winning turn and on recent performances rates highly. TAKE ANOTHER LOOK (5) was strong in winning here last start when well supported and on that performance has each-way claims. SELECTIONS: Westozi to win.

HOBART: RACE 1 @ 12:35 PM

SCARDIMALIA (3) was a touch slow out resuming which left him with nowhere to go from barrier 1. He draws the opposite side of the track this time. BANCA TOM (1) was well-supported in that race but they were all running for second after a tearaway leader stole the race. He crossed the line with CORONATION VERONIC (4) there who had to do the donkey work carting up the field to the leader. SALLY SUNSHINE (6) was scratched from Launceston last Sunday. She rolled forward last time and put in what was clearly her best of three runs for the campaign. PRINCESS TINA (5) is a new addition to the stables of Cameron Thompson and she won her maiden at start 26 two starts ago over this distance. SELECTIONS: Scardimalia to win.

NARACOORTE: RACE 6 @ 3:58 PM

TITAN I AM (5) was back in winning form last start and looks a lot stronger this campaign. This field is no tougher and he is only up a kilo and a half in weight. He has another handy draw and should repeat the dose. SUNNY GREEN (9) made up plenty of ground after getting a long way back last start and was only less than three lengths from the winner. She gets a nice swing in draws this time and should settle a lot closer to the pace as a result. Watch closely. Each-way. BOOGIE NIGHTS (1) dropped out quickly after leading in the straight last start but did miss the jump and then had to use up quite a bit of energy to get the the lead. He is better than that effort suggests and he will be peaking third up. Allow another chance. GALAXY TURF (6) did not get clear air until it was too late last time out at Ararat and did okay in the end considering the circumstances. He will be peaking after three runs back and is set to bounce back into the money. Include in all multiples. SELECTIONS: Titan I Am to win.

NOWRA: RACE 1 @ 1:50 PM

DODGEBALL (7) was far from his best when resuming last start when finishing behind Heir Jordan. Gets a 3.5kg weight swing on him now and strips fitter second-up. Bold showing expected. HEIR JORDAN (2) has been knocking on the door this prep, most recently finishing under a length away from the winner at Sapphire Coast. Up slightly in the weights but profiles nicely again. DESPOINA (6) failed to warm to her task fresh when sent out favourite. Capable of much better and gets the blinkers applied first time to help her focus. One of the main contenders. TEMPLE GARDEN (9) warrants respect off his placing last start. Gets in lighter and booking of Jeff Penza a positive. Not without hope. SELECTIONS: Backing Dodgeball to get off the mark.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 5 @ 2:50 PM

HEY BIG SPLENDA (1) switched to the premier barn and missed a whisker here first-up as favourite. He'd been away 506 days but hadn't missed a beat and will have come on. Has a low gate and keeps the gun hoop. GOBLIN' DE QUO (6) was spelled off the Maiden win and missed a half-length here first-up leading them up. Uses the rail and fitter she could take the next step without surprising. SOOBLOND (3) is also going well enough to consider. MARCH AS ONE (5) is a Victorian who was placed at Cranbourne 51 days ago. He draws the outside but has the ability and keep onside. SELECTIONS: Backing Hey Big Splenda.

TUNCURRY: RACE 8 @ 5:25 PM

REGGIE'S BOY (1) has a sound record over this trip and looks placed to advantage today from the good draw. Taken back from the wide gate before motoring late when fifth at Newcastle on January 28. That was a strong form race and should be hard to stop over the 1300m. ELARSKI (2) was well fancied last start ($1.70 fav), when a plugging third over 1500m at Port Macquarie on January 6. Freshened up for this and better suited over this trip. Sure to run well. NEVER SORRY (8) recorded a gutsy maiden victory last time out over 1100m at Port Macquarie on January 20. Ready for this distance now and gets every chance from the gate. VELVET HAZE (4) resumed with a sound win two back over 1250m at Kempsey before running a disappointing seventh over 1350m at Beaumont (Newcastle) on December 26. Much better than that and expected to take a hand in the finish today. SELECTIONS: Reggie's Boy to win.

WERRIBEE: RACE 3 @ 2:50 PM

SPIRIT OF VOMO (10) resumes for a top barn and should finally get a dry surface. Was narrowly beaten at Gosford and Warwick Farm at his first two outings and that's good form for this. He will have come on and will use the rail. IRISH CRICKETS (3) was just nudged out at Moe on debut. He draws to advantage again and fitter is a winning hope. LAWBREAKER (11) resumes and has switched barns and four of his five runs have been on the synthetic. Has an awkward gate but no surprise if she's presented forward today and has shown enough to consider. READ MY LIPS (7) longer trip suits so worth some thought. SELECTIONS: Spirit Of Vomo appeals.
