Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Hawkesbury, Benalla and Mackay.

HAWKESBURY: RACE 1 @ 1:15 PM

STANISLAUS (6) made a positive impression on debut when finishing just over 2L away from the smart Barber, who has gone on to win a few more times since. Fitter for two trials in readiness, will just need a smart steer from an outside alley. Should prove hard to stop. CAPITAL BOSS (2) is a Capitalist colt ready to debut for R J Quinton. Is a half to a couple above average ones including Listed winners Shamalia & Emperor's Way. Caught the eye when scoring in a Randwick trial. Bright start expected. KATA KAPI (11) showed plenty of early dash in her last run before heading to the paddock, leading into the lane only before being reeled in late to finish third. Takes benefit from a soft trial in readiness. Will just need some luck from the wide gate. BROADWAY BOUNCER (1) is a Kermadec colt stepping out on debut for Kristen Buchanan. Is a half to Listed winner Broadwayandfourth and was a dominant Muswellbrook trial winner in the lead-up. Worth some thought.
SELECTIONS: Siding with Stanislaus.

BENALLA: RACE 8 @ 5:00 PM

ONIKA (5) is speedy and will push forward. Won this grade three-back and there was only 1L in it the latest. In the premier barn and goes on top. OPPOSING (6) raced in better grade last preparation and was a bit stiff not to have recorded a win. Resumed in stronger at Flemington and needed it. In good hands and can make quick improvement. ZOOMING ZEBRA (9) also draws out but spiked his figures winning the Wodonga 58 and is a hope holding that form. RAFHA'S CHOICE (10) is quick and was also much better the latest. Draws to advantage and is in the mix.
SELECTIONS: Going with Onika.

MACKAY: RACE 6 @ 4:10 PM

SIZZLING SAMURAI (6) switched barns and raced handy first-up at Rockhampton and was claimed late in proceedings. Draws better today and fitter will take beating getting near best. READYENTIME (13) will be fitter for the two solid runs this preparation and is also a winning chance. Stanley sticks and she should get a soft run again from the rail. SHEZABLAST (5) has been narrowly beaten her last three at Townsville. Ran favourite the latest and will go close. EYE PEE OH READY (2) is a lightly-raced improver and Wiggins goes on. He's worth a look.
SELECTIONS: With Sizzling Samurai.
