ROSEHILL: RACE 4 @ 2:05 PM

Fascinating clash. KING'S GAMBIT (3) has come up the early favourite with his $1.28 starting price last start holding plenty of weight. Perhaps disappointing on face value, the winner there is very smart and he should be improved. That said, PLATINUM JUBILEE (8) might be the better value. The debut win was outstanding and her run in the Magic Millions 2yo Classic was good. Expect she rolls to the front here and gives them plenty to catch. MUMBAI MUSE (7) found the line very nicely behind Slipper favourite Learning To Fly on debut which reads well. A better gate and smaller field may see her sit closer. FIRE LANE (5) must have a chance as she beat Platinum Jubilee two back and ran well at the Gold Coast.

FLEMINGTON: RACE 2 @ 1:10 PM

SEE YOU IN HEAVEN (1) fronts up having run well against the older horses in Adelaide fresh and she can be much better suited back up in trip now and back against fillies. Some handy ones around but none who can claim to have put up better form than she has both at the end of the spring and when resuming and she can make the most of that fact now. CLIMBING STAR (5) ran really well first up in a slowly run race. Liked how she found the line and will get a better tempo to run at now. Might want the mile sooner rather than later and the trip also looks on the sharp side for ZENNZELLA (2), the Wakeful winner, and QUEEN AIR (4) who turned the tables when placed in the Oaks. Both can certainly run well before going up in trip.
SELECTIONS: See You In Heaven catches these at the right time.

EAGLE FARM: RACE 9 @ 5:12 PM

HELLAVADANCER (8) put the writing on the wall when she closed off strongly last start for second, beaten 1.3 lengths at this track and distance. Should land in the right spot from this draw so gets her chance to strike. PORKY (9) is progressing well having recorded his maiden win here three back and run close seconds in both outings since, the latest when beaten a neck at Sunshine Coast. Fought well after leading last start. Major player. THE VOWELS (1) scored over today's journey at Sunshine Coast last time out, getting home by a neck to make it three on the bounce. Hard to knock. BETTER RAIN (2) was too strong by 1.3 lengths as a hot favourite over 1300m at Rockhampton last time out. Player again. SUNSET SOIREE (13) is progressing well and could take another step forward.
SELECTIONS: Hellavadancer to go one better.

BENDIGO: RACE 3 @ 2:36 PM

DISPUTED RIVER (1) has filled the runner-up role on three occasions from his six starts. Was doing his best work late at Kilmore and will appreciate the rise in trip here. Should go close. PERMUTATION (3) gave them a start over a longer trip at Warrnambool last time but hit the line well. Small field suits. Looks a threat. SWEET BELLA (6) was placed at Kyneton before finding the trip a shade far last time. Better off this time. Look for improvement. DIAMOND BUTTERFLY (5) hasn't been too far away in recent assignments. Better off over the slightly shorter trip here and a forward showing is expected.

PINJARRA: RACE 6 @ 3:40 PM
VALSASSINA (4) dominated in two wins over this trip to start her prep then not disgraced up in trip here in Listed grade. Draws ideally and good chance to bounce back. PRAWNS ELEVEN (3) won nicely when resuming last time in and had excuses when failing in the Placid Ark. Needs some luck from the barrier but worth respecting. SUPERSESSION (11) comes off a maiden win at Belmont as a short priced favourite. Interesting to see how he measures up. CAPO VELOCE (5) and MAHALEO (2) are going well this time in and could get into the placings at least.

ESPERANCE: RACE 7 @ 5:46 PM
FREE SOLO (2) was a beaten favourite in his first start for a new trainer last time out but didn't have much luck after getting too far back early on. The key to victory today is the extra 400 metres and having a senior hoop in the saddle. The blinkers come off and he should set the record straight. On top. MERITIA (4) will be fitter for two runs back and the step up in trip looks ideal. Goes close. YAMATAI (8) followed up an improved effort two starts back with an easy last start win here over the mile. She will be tackling a middle distance for the first time but her racing style says she will cope. Another bold effort can be expected. ALL ON BLACK (6) has been battling for form since a fresh up third here six starts back. He has placed at his only start over this distance and after running on late over the mile last time out and could run into the money today at some value.
