RED HAWK (2) won like a good horse on debut and because of that victory, he has started favourite at all of his next three starts. Unfortunately for whatever reason he has not matched that earlier promise and may have just needed time. He is fresh up today and if he is anywhere near right then he will probably be too good. Watch closely. RICH MEMORIES (3) is racing consistently and has the home track advantage. If the breaks come his way then he should be right in the finish again. THUNDERANLIGHTNING (1) backed up an unrecorded recent trial win with a big winning effort at Colac last start. His big odds that he was paying on that occasion won't be available today but he is definitely worth including if he can repeat that last start effort. MAWALLOCK (4) won easily on debut at this track and should handle this next grade no problem. Include.

ARMIDALE: RACE 2 @ 2:25 PM

ROYAL KEW (13) continues to knock on the door this prep but struggles to break through. Drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley and gets weight relief. Top pick. DUMPUS (3) looked close to a win before a less than impressive run last time. A return to form will see him fighting out the finish. MY WATER LILLY (9) has chased gamely to the line in her last two starts to find the minor money. Gets in with slightly more weight on her back this time but strips fitter and could find her best. Can also entertain SAWNOFF (1) third-up with leading hoop Aaron Bullock piloting. SELECTIONS: Royal Kew to win.

SAPPHIRE COAST: RACE 6 @ 5:15 PM

RHYTHMBOAT (5) is racing well and should handle the class rise after dominating second up when a slick 1.3 len win over 1200m at this track on January 29. Will have little trouble running out the 1400m and drawn to control the tempo. SIR FINN (11) has finished in the minor money at his last two outings and drops in weight today. Has won this track and trip and looks close to another victory. LOUIE'S LEGACY (10) resumed with a solid on speed victory over today's course and distance on January 28. Krogh sticks and this his toughest test to date. Don't dismiss. GET SHAFTED (3) watch for market value.
