WARWICK FARM: RACE 2 @ 2:55 PM

PEREILLE (8) hails from a handy family (half to dual G3 winner and G2 placed Heresy) and is unlucky to still be a maiden with close-up placings on all four occasions. Has placed two from two over this track and trip and is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley. Can finally shed the maiden tag here. COOL JAKEY (2) is at the races for the first time but has shown plenty of promise in both Randwick trials and must be respected from the Newnham barn. Keep safe. MISSION RIDGE (6) got the job done in a recent Rosehill trial and Schofield sticks in the irons. Monitor market moves. GIVARA (1) has placed three of four overall including two over this trip. Looks one for the multiples. GENETIC FREAK (3) wasn't disgraced on debut and has since been given time to furnish. Can run a race while fresh.

EAGLE FARM: RACE 6 @ 4:29 PM

SAN LUCIDO (3) has been a beaten favourite at both his starts this campaign and has since changed stables and now joins Tony Gollan. He has been given a freshen up and has shown more than enough ability to be a big winning chance today. Follow your money. PROPHETS DE'VINE (9) is showing plenty of promise and was only caught last last start. She gets another good draw today and can go one better. Include in all multiples. CRANKY HARRY (5) was well in the market at debut and tried to lead throughout but was claimed late. Doesn't need to improve a great deal to be opening his account. READY AZZ EVA (6) settled back last start then made a sustained run to finish second over 1200m at this track. Leading contender.

SALE: RACE 4 @ 4:15 PM

DOULL (1) has shown plenty of promise in his first two campaigns, tackling much tougher opposition than he lines up against here. Gets the Blinkers applied first time to help sharpen him up and is a fresh winner. Strips fitter for a Cranbourne trial placing in readiness. Will take plenty of beating. SOJU SESSION (7) returned in good order at Moe, leading pillar to post to score narrowly. Tougher task but gets weight relief and is open to further improvement. Can threaten. WALTER SPUR (8) chased gamely to the line on debut at Geelong before heading straight to the paddock. Returns a gelding for his second career prep. Worth watching for any market support. STARCONI (4) best of the rest.

MOUNT GAMBIER: RACE 2 @ 2:15 PM

MISTER HENDERSHOT (3) was a 2-1 favourite on debut and found a minor placing. He's in a strong Victorian barn and has a low gate and the winkers applied first time. Cartwright goes on and strikes at 20% with the stable. PERFECT COSTA (9) led and was beaten a whisker in the same contest and has a 3kg claim today. She's sure to take pegging back. CASSANDRA ISABEL (6) resumes and is right up to this if presented forward. She placed 4/5 fresh and deserves to break through. FINE THINGS (7) has been close-up all preparation but needs a good ride from the outside barrier.

ASCOT: RACE 3 @ 2:19 PM

PRO LATTE (10) had trialled well and was narrowly beaten at Scarpside on debut with the top hoop aboard. He sticks and fitter the mare can be winning for the in-form Williams barn. DARK LOOKS (14) had also been well-trialled and was beaten 2.4L at Belmont on debut when expected to need it. Draws wide but has a handy 3kg claim today and can make the finish with average luck from an outside barrier. FARAWAY BAY (11) peaks and placed at Belmont the latest showing marked improvement. Has the winkers applied first time and drops back 200m. GOGOVGO (4) debuted at Belmont off a string of trials and showed enough to say he'll be competitive.
