Very good race. HOOAH HAVANA (4) was runner-up in three runs in first campaign before a break. Returned with a big maiden win at this track with the same rider Jarrod Fry aboard. Has more to come and can win again. HANS ALBERT (2) is a promising local who placed on debut the also got off the mark last time scoring at Bendigo fresh. Jockey Josh Cartwright sticks. Has upside and expected to run well at home. WANNABE FAMOUS (3) won on debut then spelled before returning with a third at Terang. Presents fitter and expected to run well. CHAMPAGNE SHARON (5) finished eighth last start, beaten 4 lengths at Ballarat over 1100m. Better than that and can improve sharply.

MACKAY: RACE 6 @ 4:45 PM

KASINOVA KID (5) is very promising and has not missed a cheque in ten lifetime starts, including four wins. He went for a well earned spell after winning his most recent start last July and judging by his recent effortless trial win he is headed for bigger things this campaign. On top. LILY ALLEZ (7) showed her opposition a clean pair of heels when leading all the way to win comfortably at Townsville last time out. She obviously has the speed to hold her position on the rails and is likely to give another good sight. FRATELLINO (2) is always a threat at this level and his last two efforts for third have been full of merit. The claim is a bonus and he should be thereabouts again. SANTORINI SUMMER (9) finished in the money last start running third at Rockhampton and should strip fitter for past attempts, can feature again.

MORPHETTVILLE: RACE 8 @ 4:55 PM

DASHING (1) lengthened impressively in the run home at the latest when knuckling down to score by a head. Tougher task this time but gets weight relief and looks set to go on with it now. EASTERLY (11) resumed in a big way at Sale when outing pay to her rivals and scoring a commanding maiden win. Showed plenty of promise in the victory and gets a key jockey switch to Jamie Kah. Wide gate the only knock. FIELD THE MOMENT (10) has plenty of early dash and will be injecting himself into the race. Strips rock-hard fit and could prove tough to catch. STONECOAT (2) dug deep to get the verdict last time at Gosford. Outside alley to overcome but is worth including.

CANBERRA: RACE 7 @ 5:16 PM

ARAPAHO (1) has raced at Group level both starts this campaign and is ready for the step-up to the middle distance. He's well performed and King can secure a soft passage from the handy barrier. SACRAMENTO (3) has been close-up in Listed grade his last two and they stack up. Clark will push forward and the gelding hits this at peak fitness. ATHABASCAN (6) finished just behind Sacramento in the Randwick City Stakes and has to be considered third-up. EXPLOSIVE JACK (2) Is a three-time winner at black-type level who tackled a Group Three contest last time out and finished 3.5 lengths from Pounding in seventh in the TS Carlyon Cup over 1600m at Sandown-Hillside.
