BEAUMONT (NEWCASTLE): RACE 4 @ 3:40 PM

ROMEO'S CHOICE (3) has found the maiden win elusive but has shown promising signs in his last two efforts in town. Faces one of his easiest assignments to date and Aaron Bullock sticking is a big push for his chances. Ready to shed the maiden tag. CYCLE PEAK (6) is a Caravaggio gelding stepping out on debut for the smart Waterhouse & Bott partnership. Has shown good signs at the trials and looks a chief contender if he can produce that form. SIR TOM (4) has found the frame in 5/9 starts. Worth keeping safe from the low draw. Can also make a case for UNITED FRONT (7).

MORNINGTON: RACE 6 @ 4:00 PM

LEDECKY'S DREAM (2) is a leader who belted the 64 graders at Pakenham before missing the hat-trick by 2.6L in a 70 at The Valley. Peaks now and tumbles in grade with a handy 4kg claim. In a top barn and she rates to bounce back. ABADDON (1) will be better for the two solid efforts at The Valley. He has more to give and the 2kg claim assists in easier class. Will settle back from the low barrier but hit the line over the longer distance. STIRRUP (8) runs along and has won and just missed his last two in the country. Keeps the 3kg claim and can make the finish again. CELSIUS STAR (5) resumed in stronger and needed the run. The form at the back of the previous preparation stacks up and fitter he needs to be kept safe.

BALLINA: RACE 4 @ 4:05 PM

INQUEST (4) can build on his solid debut third over 1400m at Sunshine Coast in a tougher race on March 5. Further improved now and this looks a pretty weak maiden. The one to beat. TO SO FEW (7) has progressed nicely with each run this time in including latest second over 1300m at this track after being in the firing line from the turn. Hard fit now and looks a serious player. LION KING (3) loomed up late before condition gave out when resumed with a solid fourth over 1100m at Dalby on March 4. This trip suits and not to be underestimated. SUPER FENKEL (6) is on debut and has the right profile to figure in the finish.

KILCOY: RACE 6 @ 4:40 PM

KING OF WANCHAI (3) was back to his best narrowly beaten at the Sunshine Coast. Has the rail and the in-form Stanley is a key jockey booking. Drops in grade and is the one to beat. KNOWITALL JACK (1) didn't enjoy the Gold Coast poly surface but was narrowly beaten his three prior on the grass. It's been a long time between drinks but this is winnable. ASSERTIN LADY (5) resumes and is a speedy galloper who will push forward. Two-back she won the Gatton Maiden by 7.5L and has placed fresh. NINE CIGARS (4) spaced the 55 graders first up and fitter can make the first-four.
