Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Scone, Swan Hill and Alice Springs.

SCONE: RACE 3 @ 1:55 PM

CHEVAL SAVANT (4) tackles a much easier assignment here after contesting G2 and G1 company in his last two starts. Caught the two back at Moonee Valley when closing off strongly into sixth in the Alister Clark Stakes before find the ATC Australian Derby a bridge too far last start. Should have a fair bit on these. TIVA BAY (3) continues to knock on the door but struggles to land the winning punch. Ticking along nicely to be competitive. XTRAREVZ (5) was far below his best fresh at Wyong. Sharp rise in trip. Should improve. IBERIAN RULER (10) gets the blinkers applied first time. Keep safe.
SELECTIONS: Cheval Savant the one to beat.

SWAN HILL: RACE 8 @ 5:00 PM

EQUINE PHILOSOPHER (3) is racing in peak form and only has to repeat his latest 2 len victory over 2200m at Donald on March 26 to go close again. Claim helps and should have little trouble running out a strong 2400m. WAR AT SEA (6) is tuned right up for this after running a slogging second at latest over 2856m at Kyneton on April 4. Has won this trip and the claim helps again. Expected to be fighting out the finish. TOM FOOLERY (9) resumed with a tenacious second over 2050m at Mornington on April 9. Only lightly raced and has a victory over this trip. Can go one better here. BANNERTON (1) steps up sharply in distance after running a plugging sixth over 1800m at Kerang on April 8. Quick back up suits and not to be underestimated.
SELECTIONS: Equine Philosopher to win.

ALICE SPRINGS: RACE 1 @ 12:34 PM

NORSE MYTHOLOGY (2) turned his form right around in his first start on this track for his new trainer. His new surroundings obviously agree with him. He has a tougher draw today but the manner in which he won last time out suggests that he can make it two wins on the bounce. JURA MAC (10) was also making her track debut when finishing runner-up behind the top selection last start, continuing her fine run of form this prep. She is a durable mare who will produce another honest effort today. Each-way. KIKUYU (4) just missed the bob when finishing in second place last start and he should be peaking third up today. He has a tougher draw here but as a winner of three from six on this track he is worthy of serious respect. TAIPAN TOMMY (11) had his first run for the Kym Healy stable here last start and immediately found winning form when just holding out the third selection for a narrow win. He is only up a kilo and a half for that performance and should be right in the finish again.
SELECTIONS: Norse Mythology to win.
