Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Rosehill, Ballarat, Doomben, Murray Bridge and Ascot.

ROSEHILL: RACE 3 @ 3:10 PM

ARMED FORCES (7) has met some stiff opposition this prep and gets a reprieve today. Finished less than a length behind smart types Maharba and Brave Mead at Moonee Valley two back then wasn't disgraced in the Listed Brian Crowley over 1200m at Randwick last time. Beautifully weighted under today's scale and class should get him home. FLEETWOOD (2) came from last on the bend to beat all but Gustosisimo (won last Saturday) over 1100m at the Kensington track when fresh from a spell last time out. Finished third to Coolmore winner Ozzmosis at this stage last prep. Sure to play a major role. RUNWITHTHETIDE (4) is a consistent gelding who scored a tidy win first-up in a Kensington maiden. Meets a deeper field this time but is worth following. ZOUPRINCE (3) resumes. Found form quickly at the start of the maiden prep so don't write him off. DYNAMIC ONE (5) looks outclassed.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Armed Forces.

BALLARAT: RACE 5 @ 3:55 PM

BIG STORY (2) ran quite well first up at Pakenham when third, beaten 1.75 lengths. His only start last preparation was a 3 length 11th in a much stronger race at Flemington and getting to 1600m second up looks ideal. Rates highly, takes beating. CAPE DOCTOR (1) has won both starts to date at Warrnambool. Harder here but is impossible to knock and should measure up strongly again. UNTETHERED (4) stuck on well enough first up at Seymour when third. He should appreciate the rise in distance and looks to get an ideal map from a soft barrier. Big chance. MONARCHS BRAE (5) held his ground back in the field first up at Geelong but the rise in trip suits and he can improve sharply. SALASSI (7) next best off a good run at big odds last time.
SELECTIONS: Big Story to win.

DOOMBEN: RACE 8 @ 5:25 PM

SNOW BOUM (14) returned from a break with a 1.7L fourth, winding up late at the end of 1000m at Sunshine Coast after settling well back. Fitter and the longer trip suits so could prove hard to hold out this time. THAT'S ALL GOOD (9) hit the line hard to be beaten less than a length when resuming 1200m at Sunshine Coast after settling near the tail. Lightly-raced and has upside. SET TO SHINE (5) did her best work late and finished 0.9 lengths from the winner in fourth last start over this trip at Eagle Farm. Has a win and a placing from two attempts here. Player. SHORE TO HAPPEN (12) won on debut and was on the heels off the placegetters last time. Respect.
SELECTIONS: Snow Boum for a second-up win.

MURRAY BRIDGE: RACE 1 @ 1:20 PM

JEWEL DE LUNE (10) has threatened at Gawler her last two over 1500m and ran favourite the latest. Gives every indication the 1800m will suit and is on the quick back-up. Finds the right race. INAGURATE (9) improved beaten 1.8L dropping back to this distance in a stronger Maiden in town. Can secure a soft run from an inside gate and is also on a quick return. KETCHIKAN (6) peaks off stronger races in town. Is back after 8-days and would be right in it at best. Draws awkwardly but Pannell is a key jockey switch for the apprentice.MAIDEN FLIGHT (11) has had two starts and got closer at Gawler the latest over 1500m. Should enjoy the longer trip and has upside. Value proposition.
SELECTIONS: Backing Jewel De Lune.

ASCOT: RACE 7 @ 5:05 PM

UNDER INFLUENCE (7) resumed beaten 1.3L and then stayed at Northam and just missed this grade finishing powerfully from the back. Draws handy today and Pike stays with him. He has more in reserve and fitter can be winning. Stablemate BUDGERIGAR (4) is also third-up and also has more to give. Was a short-priced favourite here his latest in better grade and fitter is a chance to bounce back. BAALBEK (6) improved again leading and winning a Kalgoorlie CL2 by 4L. Should have the early speed to manage the wide barrier and has a handy 2kg claim. He can give a sight. BUSTERS FREE (2) was an easy CL1 winner at Belmont and has been close-up here the two since. Has the rail and inside gate and just has to run out the longer sprint to feature.
SELECTIONS: Backing Under Influence.
