Three meetings around Japan for us on Friday with Nagoya, Saga and Urawa all set to host. Nagoya looks the pick of the cards but we'll be covering all of them to find your daily best bets.

Urawa Race 5 #8 Vainqueur City

Looks a race in two at Urawa between Vainqueur City  and #3 Nectaris but Vainqueur City has the better ratings and I think the market won't have much between them whereas the figures do. Vainqueur City was a dominant 10 length winner last start and interestingly only rated slightly better than his 0.3 length defeat the start prior, which are much higher than anything Nectaris has done. Nectaris did win by 5 lengths last start and was $1.10 in the market so he'll be kept very short and we should get a good price for Vainqueur City to beat him.

Saga Race 8 #5 Elpida

Good little contest with a few chances at Saga and Elpida makes most appeal bringing (narrowly) the best last start rating into the field, winning by 2 lengths last start at this track over 1300m when able to lead all the way. That was a slight new peak for this filly but she's got a bulk of ratings that are very consistent behind it and I think we'll get a decent price about her. #9 Meisho Kiitos is almost guaranteed to start favourite coming off three straight wins and having started $1.7, $1.3 and $1.5 in each of them, but her ratings are no better than Elpida's so it should be a good clash. I'm happy to take the better price for Elpida who will also be out in front whereas Meisho Kiitos is likely to get back in the field.

Nagoya Race 4 #4 Boulard Buck

Siding with this three-year-old filly who has only had two starts for the Tsunoda stable since coming from the JRA where she ran some good races in maiden grade, converting that to winning form at her first go at Nagoya. She struggled last start up in grade as a $12 chance but drops in class for this and if she replicates anything near her first up rating she'll be far too good for these. She's also back from 1700m to 1500m which is the same track and trip she won first up and I'll back her in to bounce back strongly here.

Nagoya Race 7 #2 Wowkle

Good race and an open contest with Wowkle looking to bounce back after being beaten over 1700m last start in a stronger race, leading until very late in the race and going down by just 0.3 lengths. Prior to that this filly won three in a row for new trainer Yukio Abe showing consistent form and solid ratings that are very competitive here. Back to 1500m looks a big positive for her as I don't think she quite ran out a strong 1700m last start. She'll go forward and lead and I doubt she finishes out of the placings with each-way odds expected.
