Four meetings on the local NAR circuits of Japan on Tuesday with racing from Funabashi, Himeji, Kochi and Nagoya. We've done the form and provided our best bets across the day.
Funabashi Race 9- #11 Baikal
Handy race over the 1200m here and I'm with the resuming Baikal who really came into form at the end of last preparation, posting two strong ratings in consecutive wins at this track and distance. Those figures are good enough to be winning this and he should have the early speed to hunt across and find the front despite the wide draw. He has won first up in the past and jockey Taito Mori is in hot form at the moment, striking at 28.6% of late. The main danger looks to be #4 Kamino Ho O who has been consistent this time in and looks close to a win
Himeji Race 10- #4 Taiki The MomentOnly a field of eight but some good horses going around here and Taiki The Moment fits that bill first up. He had four runs for the Sasaki stable last preparation and ran second in all of them, however the ratings he ran are right up to winning a race like this. I'm expecting the market to post #7 Hinode Teio as a short priced favourite coming off a smart win last start but at their best there's very little between them. Happy to take the bigger price about Taiki The Moment to win
Kochi Race 9- #5 Love In Fall
Another race with a few winning chances but Love In Fall clearly brings the best last start run, having resumed with a dominant 3 length win over 1400m. She now steps out to the 1600m which looks ideal and if she brings that form again she's going to take plenty of catching. Her jockey, H Yoshihara, is in great form at the moment, striking at 29.6% lately and should give her every chance in the run. #3 Utamaro may be the main danger, having won two in a row before just missing last start.
Nagoya Race 10- #2 M S Don
Keen on M S Don here who is in great form, winning the Raiden Leader Kinen at his last outing. The colt was able to sit handy to the pace and fight off the challengers, winning by a head. His run prior when third was also very good, rating very highly and giving him a strong ratings edge on this field. This looks a strong, open race with plenty of horses coming off short stating prices and victories last time out. That should mean M S Don isn't too short in the market and gives us another opportunity to back him.
