It looks a good betting card at Randwick and I think you could legitimately be fairly confident betting in 8/10 races on the day. The Randwick Guineas is one of them with and you could make a decent case for the first four in the market.

I tweeted post-Hobartville that Aft Cabin getting rolled meant we might get a good price about him but I'm surprised he's still so much shorter than Osipenko.

While Aft Cabin did a bit of work early, he was still disappointing to me and going to the mile was always going to the query with him. Osipenko has already run a blinder at a mile in the Caulfield Guineas off an interrupted preparation and things have gone ideally this time.

He closed off well first up behind Aft Cabin and it was key to see him settle much closer last start from an inside gate at 1400m. Now drawn 4 with Nash staying on, out to a mile, I'd be disappointed if he wasn't looking to get the back of Aft Cabin.

I went into this wanting to back Aft Cabin off his SP last start but Osipenko was running away from him and is better set up here, so at $4.60 I think he has to be the bet.

The other race I'm keenest to play in is the 4th, with Sacramento and Soulcombe vying for favouritism in the market, however I have the former the outright horse to beat.

Both runs back have been rock solid behind Banju, giving that horse 7.5kg and 3kg. He held his ground over a mile first up and did beat home Soulcombe, who started second pick and was always going to struggle over a mile.

Soulcombe gets to 2000m but I think even that will be too short for him, especially how this race sets up. Sacramento finally looks to get complete control of a race and Soulcombe will likely have to sit and sprint from back in the field which isn't his go. I think he needs a genuine staying test to perform and those are hard to come by in Australia.
