TRIAL POINTERS

ROSEHILL March 13: Excellent work by unraced Russian Revolution colt LIBERTAD in his third trial, doing his best work late to finish third in his 1030m heat (64.16; 36.612).  Sat back and wide with cover before closing sweetly under no pressure to back up the ability he had displayed winning his previous trial at Rosehill. One to watch closely when he debuts.

RANDWICK March 7: HAWAII FIVE OH had his first trial for his new stable with a sure sign of things to come from the classy 3YO colt by I am Invincible. Went through his gears in great style for a soft win in his open heat over 1050m (62.46; 34.08) with AIR TO AIR, another new addition to the Waterhouse/Bott team, also working to the line in promising style for second.

WARWICK FARM March 2: Racy filly OZ EMPRESS, a daughter of Exceed and Excel went into the blackbook with a super trial win at Warwick Farm on February 16. She was again too sharp for her rivals in the fastest 811m heat, doing it easily to score by almost two lengths (47.40; 33.46) and is obviously set to race boldly on debut.

WYONG February 24: Russian Revolution filly BALLROOM BELLA was the star, posting the fastest time in the seven 745m heats (50.09; 34.13) to score by almost five lengths. She had company in the lead for the first 500m but dropped the chasers when given a squeeze and coasted over the last 100m. She had won her previous trial at Rosehill.

WARWICK FARM February 16: OZ EMPRESS is a free running filly by Exceed And Excel and is certain to take plenty of benefit from this first trial experience after she led her 800m heat with ease and ran away from them over the last 200m in the fastest of the four heats over the distance (47.01; 33.11).

RANDWICK January 9: DIPSY DOODLE impressed with her strong win a fillies heat over 740m (43.60; 33.14).
