Morphettville Parks Races Review on 18th March 2023

Apprentice Lachlan Niendorf started the day off well when he steered Dixie Whistler to a win in the 2250 metre opening race on the Parks track at Morphettville on Saturday.

Prepared by co-trainers Gordon Richards and Damien Moyle Dixie whistler sat one off the pace before putting in a late charge to take the event in a bob of the head decision.

After running second on the Sandown Lakes circuit Sorel Rising went on better when he took out the 1550 metre second race.

Ridden by Todd Pannell and mentored at Bendigo by Brent Stanley Sorel Rising led all the way to record an easy win.

Coming from the northern town of Laura trainer Bryan Holtham was successful when his charge Heka Express took out the 1000 metre third race.

Having the services of Jacob Opperman Heka Express sat one off the pace before going on to a narrow win.

The Murray Bridge stable of Sue and Jason Jaensch tasted victory when Fiorada Lad took out the 1250 metre fourth race.

Dispensing of his maiden status the Todd Pannell guided Fiorada Lad was another all the way winner.

Resuming from a spell Roxy Blue presented the training duo of Shane and Cassie Oxlade with a win in the 1000 metre fifth race.

Having the services of Justin Potter, Roxy Blue led all the way.

Lachlan Niendorf rode his second winner for the day when Two Times Twice won the 1250 metre sixth race.

Being under the care of David Jolly at Goolwa Two Times Twice led all the way except for briefly being headed in the straight but fought back to win.

After sadly announcing the retirement of Dalasan the Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas stable had something to smile about when Party Princess won the 1400 metre seventh race.

Ridden by Jason Holder the promising Party Princess came from a midfield position to win.

The decision to try his luck in South Australia is paying off for Sheriden Tomlinson after he scored another winner when he rode Chicago Storm to a win in the 1400 metre eighth race.

Prepared at Murray Bridge by David Aldridge Chicago Storm was seen running on from a worse than midfield position.

Larkham has proven a good money spinner for trainer Ryan Balfour after the gelding won the 1000 metre final event.

Ridden by apprentice Alana Livesey Larkham to bring up win seven from twenty-eight starts.
