No doubt the boys around the ball had a big impact like Neale, Dunkley and Ashcroft. But when Smokin' Joe Daniher lights up the Gabba, it is hard to hold him back. He is having a superb year averaging nearly 3 goals a game – well above his career.

The variety in the Brisbane forward line is their key. Daniher and Hipwood can roam, Rayner and Bailey add the firepower and Cameron snipes around the floor.

So the Gold Coast backline will need to be at their best and flexible. Over the last 8 times they've met, it has not gone their way.

However the real positive is how they put West Coast to the sword. It was an across the board attack and they took any bad luck out of play.

If they can keep kicking scores around 100, they are right in every game. Ben King nailing a few is the key but with the midfield contributing, they are not a bad side.

They probably should not be the odds they are given their form. And, had the game been on the Coast, you'd be happy to back them.

But just at the Gabba, in their current flowing frame of mind, it's the Lions to have the Suns Quivering.
