QUEENSLAND PLAYER RATINGS FROM ORIGIN I:

1 Reece Walsh - 8.5

Immediately looked an Origin fullback, playing a hand in both Selwyn Cobbo's tries including a sizzling cut-out ball for his second, while a try-saving tackle on James Tedesco was also impressive.

2 Selwyn Cobbo - 8.5

Two tries including a stunning second that saw him beat multiple defenders. Left early with a hip complaint but not before being close to Queensland's best.

3 Valentine Holmes - 7

The Queensland centre did his job well, assisting in Cobbo's first try and running for 133m.

4 Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow - 9

Some questioned his selection, but two tries including a brilliant match-winner shut his critics up. Moved to a wing when duty called and played the role there too.

5 Murray Taulagi - 5

Some unbelievable defensive efforts saved two certain first-half tries, but was otherwise fairly well held.

6 Cameron Munster - 9

Quiet until he wasn't, assisting Tabuai-Fidow's second before scoring his own try to seal the deal.

7 Daly Cherry-Evans - 7

Put on a show via foot with a lengthy 495m kicking display, including a 40-20, and played the role he needed to.

15 Tino Fa'asuamaleaui - 6

Franked his late elevation to the starting 13 with a big early shift, finishing with 105m.

9 Ben Hunt - 5.5

As reliable as ever in his 53 minutes, defended with guts without changing the game in attack.

16 Reuben Cotter - 8.5

An enormous display from the North Queensland unit, starting on a prop and then moving to an edge in an 80-minute display. Finished with a team-high 37 tackles.

11 David Fifita - 6.5

Recalled to the Origin arena and looked like he belonged there with NSW struggling to contain some of his trademark violent runs.

12 Tom Gilbert - 3

Left early with a shoulder injury after making only one run and missing two tackles in his 19 minutes.

13 Patrick Carrigan - 7

Did his job again, playing 67 minutes and making some huge runs in a 123m, 27-tackle display.

8 Tom Flegler - 2

Sin-binned for a shoulder charge late and will be grateful to his teammates, who delivered two tries in his 10-minute absence.

14 Harry Grant - 4

Wasn't his impactful self off the bench, but got through his work and delivered 34 tackles.

10 Lindsay Collins - 7

Jumped over his club captain Tedesco to offload to Munster and seal the win. Made some errors but ended with 114m and played a vital role.

17 Jai Arrow - 6

Helped combat the energy NSW brought off the bench with an 89m showing.
