Cameron Munster is set to turn out for Melbourne against Wests Tigers, with the star playmaker completing their final training run before the round-four NRL clash.

After injuring his finger in round one, Munster has missed the team's past two matches - both losses - with the Storm desperate to get him back on deck against the winless Tigers on Friday night.

With Munster having a pin removed from his finger on Wednesday, Storm coach Craig Bellamy said the final decision would be made by medical staff.

But with halfback Jahrome Hughes missing through suspension, Melbourne need Munster to help get the wobbly Storm back on track after some below-par form.

"We'll see how he pulls up after (training) - he got through that OK," Bellamy told reporters.

"I don't see any issues but I'm sure the doc will have a look at it and make sure there isn't any dangers - it will be a medical decision.

"We're not going so well at the moment and he wants to come out and help."

Jonah Pezet, who made his NRL debut in place of Munster in Melbourne's loss to Gold Coast last round, will cover the absence of Hughes, who received a one-game ban for a late tackle.

Bellamy said the 20-year-old would be better for the run.

"He did a good job last week in his debut - there's a couple of things he needs to probably be a little bit better at but we didn't expect him to come in here and win the game on his own.

"He's a confident young kid and he's got good skills so hopefully he can do a good job tomorrow night."

The Tigers anchor the NRL ladder but Bellamy said they were a team on the up and the Storm would not be taking them lightly.

"Their first game probably wasn't the best but they've only been beaten by four and two the last couple of games," he said.

"They've got some good experienced players and they've got a lot of young big bodies who run the ball really well.

"They're definitely a team on the up - it'll be a tough game for us."
