THE MOMENT: When Perth Glory skipper Tash Rigby burst down the wing against Melbourne City and found Cyera Hintzen, the striker quickly teed up Hana Lowry to score a wonderful goal and give Perth Glory a 3-2 lead. Six minutes later, Hintzen wriggled between two defenders to score one herself and ensure Perth's finals hopes remained alive.
BEAT THAT: Newcastle's Cassidy Davis had gone a league record of 127 games without scoring - until the Jets faced Wellington. Davis scored with a lovely finessed finish to hand Newcastle a 3-2 win over the Phoenix and ensure they avoided the wooden spoon.
STAT ATTACK: Michelle Heyman keeps on achieving. By turning out for Canberra against United, the A-League Women's record goalscorer became the league's all-time appearance leader (158) - one ahead of Teresa Polias. Heyman first played in the inaugural season in 2008.
MILESTONES: Three league stalwarts marked milestones in a busy weekend. Former Matildas captain Melissa Barbieri played her 100th game against former national team teammate and Perth Glory veteran Kim Carroll, who enjoyed her final home game before retirement. Newcastle's all-time leading goal scorer Tara Andrews has also retired.
TALKING POINT: Who will make the finals? Western United (36 points) and Sydney FC (34 points) are locked in but Melbourne City (29), Melbourne Victory (28), Canberra (28) and Perth (25) are fighting for the final two spots.
UNDER PRESSURE: Brisbane Roar have until Tuesday to appeal their points deduction for fielding an ineligible player against Western United and if they do, the appeals committee will have to make a quickfire decision. It could also determine who claims the premiership.
WHAT'S NEXT: Wellington play Adelaide on Tuesday. Perth are set for a hectic schedule and a week on the east coast, taking on Sydney FC on Wednesday then Brisbane on Saturday. Wellington host Victory on Saturday, while Western United will attempt to clinch the plate when they welcome Western United, the same time Sydney host Newcastle. City and Canberra could be facing off for the last finals spot when they play on Sunday.
