Bernard Tomic has won 10 consecutive tennis matches and two tournaments without dropping a set but his world ranking is still hovering in the 600s.

The 29-year-old beat Moldovan Alexander Cozbinov 7-6 (7-5) 6-3 on Sunday in Cancun, his second ITF title in the Mexican city in less than a month.

Peaking as high as 17 in the world in 2016, the former Wimbledon quarter-finalist's tennis revival has found traction since he dropped to the entry-level ITF tour in August.

Tomic's ranking has improved about 150 spots in that time to 659 in the world.

He would need to return and flourish on the ATP's higher-rated Challenger Tour to make steps towards a top-100 ranking return for the first time since August 2019.
