Graeme Rodway, deputy betting editor, has identified a grey gelding trained for the Grand National - a horse that was second in the Troytown at Navan in November. David Jennings, deputy Ireland editor, favours Ain't That A Shame, who traded at 1.08 in-running on Betfair when almost winning the Munster National at Limerick, and has an Irish mark of 146.

Maddy Playle, tipster, is convinced Corach Rambler will have a huge chance, having traded at a low of 1.56 in the Paddy Power at Leopardstown and is likely to run in the Ultima. The fourth horse is Stuart Riley's reporter selection - Velvet Elvis , who was beaten just eight lengths in last year's Irish National.

Graeme Rodway believes if the gelding can reproduce the form of its second place finish in the Troytown at Navan in November, it will have a chance in an open race. Ain't That A Shame's impressive form in the Munster National suggests it is likely to go off at a low price on the day. Maddy Playle is confident that Corach Rambler, who has a similar hold-up racing style to 2017 winner One For Arthur, will have an excellent chance of success.

Finally, Velvet Elvis is another horse with Grand National dreams, having won last time out and carrying a light weight to Aintree. The Tom Gibney-trained six-year-old is currently 66-1 and could prove a great value bet.

With just a few weeks to go until the world's most famous steeplechase, the hopes for these four horses will be eagerly anticipated by punters and fans alike.
