Constitution Hill's heart-stopping champion hurdle victory

Constitution Hill made history when he secured a nine-length victory in the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham Racecourse.

His performance was described as 'for the ages' as he pulled away from the competition early on, leaving the other horses in his wake before approaching an unexpected obstacle at the last fence. Despite the lack of a stride for the leader, trainer Nico De Boinville was full of admiration for the horse, exclaiming that he "knows better than me" as he soared over the hurdle.

Ruby Walsh was equally in awe of the horse, remarking that Constitution Hill had been a "whisker from disaster" as the horse narrowly navigated the final fence. He concluded that Constitution Hill is "a brilliant, brilliant racehorse on the cusp of becoming a great one" and has the ability to become one of the greatest horses of all time.

Should the horse remain sound, there is huge potential for him to be celebrated as one of the all-time greats. His dramatic Champion Hurdle victory was truly one to remember, and it will be exciting to see what lies ahead for Constitution Hill.
