Tristan Sailor will travel to Sydney but Brisbane fullback Reece Walsh is pushing to face Cronulla after his scintillating State of Origin debut for Queensland.

Maroons winger Selywn Cobbo won't play against the Sharks on Saturday, but Corey Oates (knee) will bolster the Broncos' stocks in his own injury return.

Walsh will be assessed on Saturday after flying straight to Sydney from Adelaide while NSW prop Payne Haas, Patrick Carrigan and Tom Flegler, who escaped suspension for a high shot in Wednesday night's Queensland win, are keen to play.

"Selywn, we'll spell him, he hasn't come up too well," Walters said of the winger who hobbled off late in the second half.

Sailor was excellent in his club debut at the back as the depleted side notched a brave win in New Zealand last week.

"We'll take Tristan down for coverage; we know he's very capable from his performance last week," Walters said.

"(Walsh is) just a bit sore, they were a bit rough with him.

"Being his first Origin as well; he did some really good things for Queensland, we just have make sure he's right to go for us."

The coach wasn't surprised by Walsh's performance, the 20-year-old defying the Blues' attempts to rattle him under the high ball.

"It was spoken about all week; not like he didn't see it coming," Walters said.

"He's a tough little player ... they're all very keen to put the Broncos jersey on."

Sharks coach Craig Fitzgibbon expects his playmaker Nicho Hynes to be firing on all cylinders after being used sparingly in his Blues debut.

"He's fearless; walked in the door today (and said), 'what's my next challenge, what's in front of me'," Fitzgibbon said.

"He'll get plenty of time this weekend ... it's part of the challenge of being an Origin player.

"To be a real Origin player, the mark is to come back to your club and deliver."
