The Mick Kent-trained three-year-old gelding Royal Order looks really promising following his second in a Maiden (1400m) at Pakenham on 11 May with a very good win here. He eased from his wide barrier (12), settled in second last place in the 15-horse field, before improving (very deep) from the 700m. He then put in a strong run in the centre of the track and finished far too well for an impressive late-closing win. He is a horse to watch.
