The lightly raced Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained mare Miss Elly May resumed to score her first win in three starts in impressive fashion. She showed good pace from barrier seven and soon to the front. She then settled well, beat off challengers at the home turn and then dashed clear, before going on to win easily, with her ears pricked and in smart time (57.42).
