Four meetings around Japan with Urawa, Sonoda, Kasamatsu and Mombetsu all hosting. Sonoda looks the pick of the meetings with Pearl Premier set to go around very short in search of her eighth win in a row.

Sonoda Race 10 #9 Acute Girl

Good race at Sonoda with a few key chances headed by Acute Girl who had her first run for new trainer Masashi Atarashi and relished the drop in grade, settling on the pace and holding on to record a narrow victory which rated well. She faces a similar race here and should only improve with the rise in trip given her best run was on debut at Chukyo over 1800m. She does have to concede weight to her main danger #1 Accueillir despite being younger but I think she's a better horse with more to come.

Kasamatsu Race 8 #2 Claire Adorer

I think this race evolves around Claire Adorer because if she runs to her best she should prove very hard to beat. She wasn't bad last start when running second, beaten 3 lengths however was well beaten before in a much stronger listed race at Funabashi which I'm happy to wipe as she started 400-1. Her best ratings have come at 1600m which she steps up to here and I'm tipping she can run near her best which should win. If not, it's wide open with at least four of the other seven runners capable of winning.

Mombetsu Race 7 #12 Good Feeling

Really keen on Good Feeling here who looks the best bet of the day. She was racing in great form having won 2 from her first 5 starts here and running 2nd in the other 3, all over 1000m. Last start she was tested over 1200m and just didn't run the trip out. She set a reasonable tempo in front but faded late to finish 7th, beaten 5 lengths. Now she drops back to 1000m and if she recaptures her previous form, she looks very well placed to take this out. She's got the speed to lead these and I'm tipping she'll prove to quick back to the 5 furlongs. #11 Menkoi Momochan is consistent and looks the main danger to the favourite but all things equal, Good Feeling should be too good.

Urawa Race 7 #9 Momo Aka

A field of 10 for the two-year-olds here and Momo Aka looks a key chance coming off a solid win last time out over 1400m, able to lead all of the way there in an effort that rated better than anything in this field. She was well beaten over 800m on debut which was too sharp, meaning she went around at 18-1 last start and which should mean we get a good price again. If you look at her last run in isolation she should be favourite here so I'm happy to back her in. #6 Hassaku San is a strong danger having rated similarly when winning when a dominant 3 length winner, also over 1400m here, but did start 2-1 which may mean she starts favourite over Momo Aka.
