NIGHT OR DAY BETFAIR'S THE WAY

It was a double dose of racing brilliance this weekend with the return of Friday night's at the Valley and a bumper Saturday in Sydney!

The Group 1 Moir Stakes was won impressively by Imperatriz who looks Manikato bound, whilst Amelia's Jewel led a superb undercard with a win that does her Cox Plate chances no harm.

At Randwick on Saturday we had three Group 1s with Waterhouse/Bott claiming two of them! One was a minor upset, but the other was not, with Just Fine getting home as the well backed favourite.

In a likely forecast of things to come, Chris Waller found himself in the Group 1 action with Rediener's double figure win in the Epsom.

The Girl's had a good day too with Kathy O'Hara and Rachel King picking up Group 1s. King her third, and O'Hara her second.

Melbourne's metro Saturday card was in Mornington, with Sydney the main racing focus given Victoria's eyes were on the AFL Grand Final.

We will take a look at all the highlights from a tremendous weekend that saw four Group 1s.

BEST BACKED WINNERS

It would be difficult to go past Friday night for the best backed winners, with Amelia's Jewel dominating the market en route to her Group 2 victory.

The pride of the west carried 70% of the market hold in a heavily matched race before winning impressively.

In the Group 1 Moir Stakes it was a similar story with Imperatriz (pictured) saluting at $1.70 with 68% of all matched bets going her way.

At Randwick on Saturday Just Fine and Think About It were the best backed winners.

Think About It was impressive in the Premiere Stakes with 65% of the market hold, and Just Fine snuck home in a tight Metropolitan with a lot of matched volume.

FIRMERS AND DRIFTERS

King Moya was heavily backed in Race 3 at Morphettville, from $4.80 into $3.20 but had to settle for running second.

In the next race in Adelaide, Surprise Coming drifted from $1.62 out to $3.20 and ran third, at the same time the winner Sentimental Flame was backed off the map from $7.80 into $4.40 in the biggest successful push of the day!

Ripcord was another successful drift, this time at Belmont in Race 3. From $3.30 out to $5!

The sickest beat though was Indispensable in Race 8 at Eagle Farm.

Backed from $9.80 into $4.90 he would run unplaced!
