Fantastic race to start the day. Loved PLATINUM WOLF'S effort in the BM90 Greys race when charging home for 3rd. He's looking for this 1600m now and is so well weighted in a race like this. Meets PRINCE JOFRA 2.5kg better at the weights for beating it home.
Caulfield: Race 2; #10 Forbidden City
Forbidden City ran a nice placing in a good race last start but everything about that race just felt strange, she still got beaten two runs ago at Pakenham in a five-horse field and now lobs up here favourite. Meridius on top despite the tricky map, had no luck first-up, wasn't clear between the 400m-100m and once clear, ran the third-fastest last 100m split of the meeting.
I am just not convinced this horse is going as well as he has in the past so I am happy to risk at the price in what I feel is an open race.
