Aquis will become the first Australian farm to stand a son of superstar American stallion Blame after striking a deal to stand Officiating this breeding season.

The three-time Group winner will call Aquis's Queensland base home, where he command a fee of $12,500, including GST.

A winner of five of his 20 starts, Officiating won three times at Group 3 level in America, including the 1811m Cornhusker Handicap at his penultimate start.

Aquis Stallions director of sales Jonathan Davies said Officiating would be a welcome addition to Australia's stallion ranks.

"In a deal we spent most of 2023 putting together in the USA, Officiating is perfect for our local broodmare population, that's why he's here and we've already seen a glimpse of that through this season's Group 2 Todman Stakes winner Switzerland being by Snitzel out of a Blame mare," Davies said.

"For us, launching stallions and developing value for our stallion shareholders is what it's about and like Brave Smash and Royal Meeting, Officiating is that tough, sound, outcross stallion that will work and we have no doubt in four to five years' time he will be sought by all the big studs in the Hunter Valley and Victoria."

He is one of eight stallions who will stand at Aquis this year, all of whom stand for $15,000 or less.

Leading the way is Kobayashi, whose deeds with his two-year-olds this season have earned an increase from $8800 to $15,000.

Lean Mean Machine will stand for $13,200, Jonker is also at $12,500, Stronger is at $9900, Invader $8800, Glenfiddich $5500 and The Mission $4400.
