Two four-year-olds and 10 five-year-olds make up the outstanding field, including four runners from last year's Golden Nugget (2536m).

Arma Einstein was the big winner from the barrier draw earlier in the week, coming up with barrier one and has been supported into favouritism with TABtouch.

Watts Up Sunshine has wasted little time making his presence felt in Western Australia, scoring stylish wins at both starts under the care of Michael Young.

The gelding has been able to lead on both occasions but will have a much trickier task from barrier eight this evening.

Eldaytona finished second to Watts Up Sunshine after sitting outside him last Friday and has drawn barrier three this evening.

Blitzembye and Stamford have both shown gate speed in the past and could play a significant part in the early stages of tonight's race from barrier four and six respectively.

El Chema, one of the in-form pacers going into the $50,000 event, will have his final start for the campaign from barrier five.

Talks Up A Storm and Ezana also get their chance to score a feature win from barrier 10 and 11 respectively.

Benji and Swingband are the lone four-year-olds in the field and will start from barrier two and seven respectively.

Kyle Symington drives the returning Swingband tonight and said he was pleased with the way the gelding had returned, but wasn't sure how it would play out from the draw.

"We've been really happy with him this prep," Symington told TABradio.

"At the end of last campaign, we found out he had a bit of bone bruising before going out for a spell.

"He's been doing everything right this prep so hopefully he puts his best foot forward tonight.

"We have to go with him a bit and I'm not sure what a couple of runners inside of us will do.

"I think it's one that I'll just have to play out there."

Arma Einstein, who finished second in the race last year, heads the TABtouch market at $3.30, ahead of Watts Up Sunshine ($4.40), El Chema ($7.50), Swingband ($7.50) and Eldaytona ($8.50).
