The Grant Dixon-trained millionaire came up with gate six (five if emergency Cantfindabettorman fails to gain a start) at this morning's draw and was then opened as a $1.35 favourite by TAB traders.

Miracle Mile champ Catch A Wave was installed a $6 chance on the second line of betting from barrier two, with New Zealand raider Dont Stop Dreaming $9 from gate 10.

Better Eclipse, who passed $1million in stakes last weekend, has the widest front row draw to contend with, while consistent big-race performer Spirit Of St Louis has nine. He is one of four New South Wales-trained runners in the race alongside Taipo (three), Cya Art (five) and Kanena Provlima (13).

Victorian trainer Emma Stewart claimed the 2023 A G Hunter Cup with Honolua Bay and this year has Beyond Delight (11) and Mach Dan (12) as outsiders in the race, Max Delight is drawn for a soft run from inside the back row and Curly James has gate four for young horsewoman Courtney Laker.

The A G Hunter Cup is one of the highlights on Saturday night's blockbuster card at Melton Entertainment Park, with the $500,000 Grand Circuit classic to be supported by the Yabby Dam Farms Great Southern Star.
