The Greg and Skye Bond-trained pacer will line up from barrier five in tonight's event, which also features stablemate Golden Lode.

Vegas Strip delivered driver Deni Roberts her first Group 1 success in last year's two-year-old feature and capped off a prolific season for the Bond stable in the juvenile ranks.

Greg Bond said he expected Vegas Strip to be forward enough to win tonight.

"He's been going well," Bond told The Trots WA.

"He's been working with our other three-year-olds that ran one, two and three at Pinjarra yesterday.

"Body-wise he's developed a bit and he's got good condition on him.

"I'm very happy with his work."

Golden Lode, to be driven by Dylan Egerton Green tonight, went winless from eight starts as a two-year-old but gets a chance to figure prominently tonight from barrier one.

Bond said he would be surprised if Golden Lode beat Vegas Strip tonight.

"He's also going well and he's nice enough in his own right," he said.

"He's probably not as developed as Vegas Strip and I expect he would have his measure.

"It won't be a walk in the park though."

Vegas Strip and Golden Lode's return tonight comes off the back of Ten To The DozenThenu Came Along and Thelittle Master filling the top three places in yesterday's Regency Foods Pace (1684m) at Pinjarra.

Bond said he was pleased with the trio on return.

"Ten To The Dozen had a soft run in front and Thenu Came Along made a good race of it, to his credit," he said.

"Thelittle Master didn't hold their back quite as well when the sprint went on, but he was good enough."

The Cadeceus Club Classic (2130m) at Gloucester Park on April 26 is set to be a key target for most of Bond's three-year-olds.

Meanwhile, trainer Mike Reed said yesterday's two-year-old winner Ruby Lou would have one more start before Sales Classic heats next month.
