Pinny Tiger produced another terrific performance to run third behind Catch A Wave and Jumpingjackmac in last Friday's $300,000 event.

It continued an outstanding campaign for the Michael Brennan-trained pacer, where he's only missed a top three finish on one occasion in eight starts.

As well as his Fremantle Cup placing, Pinny Tiger was placed in the Bunbury Cup and Pinjarra Cup, while he also won the Nullarbor Consolation.

Brennan said he was happy enough with how Pinny Tiger came through the 2936m of the Fremantle Cup and deserved another chance at a feature race.

"He was a bit tired the next day, but you expect that when they break the track record," Brennan told The Trots WA.

"There's another 10 days to the Narrogin Cup, so he will go to that.

"He will have a little break after that, and we will aim at the Pacing Cup and work back from there."

The WA Pacing Cup (2536m) is set to be run in November again this year, with the James Brennan Memorial (2536m) and JP Stratton Cup (2130m) set to serve as key lead up races.

Pinny Tiger showed his blistering gate speed in the Fremantle Cup, where he was able to find the front comfortably from barrier four.

Driver Chris Voak then elected to sit and take the trail on Jumpingjackmac.

Brennan said he felt this campaign suggested Pinny Tiger was ready to be able to consistently keep the front in Free-For-All races.

"We went there hoping he would be competitive in the big races, but the way he's done it is extremely pleasing," he said.

"He's now proven at that level, and he will be even better after another break.

"Next time around I don't think we'd have any issue holding the front in those races.

"He's developed and grown and he's going to be a serious player in these races now."

Meanwhile, exciting mare Aardiebytheseaside has drawn barrier five for her second start for trainers Greg and Skye Bond.

The four-year-old made a big impression on her WA debut on Nullarbor night when she won the $75,000 Empress Stakes (2130m).

The Jocelyn Young-trained Skylord was the big winner from the barrier draw for the Westside Auto Wholesale 4YO&5YO Championship (2130m), where he drew barrier one.

Exciting pacer Mister Smartee will have to overcome a tricky draw in barrier seven to continue his unbeaten start to the campaign.
