Trainer Emmanuel Varin recorded a second success in the final of the G3 Trophée Vert (2775m) on Monday thanks to Fine Perle Of Love. The trainer had previously won this race six years ago with Tagada Tagada though there are very limited similarities between the two.

It looked a simple yet effective drive by Matthieu Abrivard who was quick to place Fine Perle Of Love in the leading group. Challengers arrived in the shape of Elvis du Vallon and Gently de Muze at the beginning of the home straight but Fine Perle Of Love quickened clear showing an impressive attitude and turn of foot. The runner-up and third-placed horse both emerged with plenty of credit.

That was a thirteenth career success for the mare and in the process, she passed the €280,000 mark in earnings. Fine Perle Of Love is by Théo Josselyn who won four-times in his career.

The success ensured Fine Perle of Love finish a joint third overall in the Trophee Vert standings with a total of thirty-two points.

The top-ten standings are as follows:

1) Calimero Du Thiole - 55.00
