Java Du Rib showed ability at Vincennes on Thursday improving to shed the maiden tag at the twelfth attempt. As soon as the mobile arms retracted, Java du Rib pushed forward and went clear to set the pace with intent of winning driver, Jean-Loic-Claude Dersoir abundantly clear as the filly moved straight toward the inside pegs and gained an early advantage. Her lead soon dissipated by the first left-handed turn where the group bunched with Jamila du Porhoët becoming the new pace setter. These two runners continued to exchange the lead position along the back straight with the daughter of Love You continuing to rally on the outside and fight back to her original position. At the 1000m marker, Justalinda also wanted a piece of the action with the tempo remaining strong. The winner still had a great position, two back on the inside pegs with 700m left to run, now receiving cover. As they began the final turn a gap presented itself for Java du Rib when Justalinda galloped. Into the home straight she had the upper hand and suddenly the three-year-old filly showed a sudden burst of acceleration to shoot clear by five lengths. Representing the Jean-Loïc Claude Dersoir and Joel Hallais driver and trainer combination, Java du Rib was a comfortable winner, eased when reaching the winning line. The three-year-old daughter of Love You made a promising debut effort back in August 2021 and showed progress early when placing third up at Cabourg later that year. She also achieved a placing when runner-up over 2700m in February part of the Vincennes Winter Meeting. This week's attempt was another step forward and based on that performance more wins are expected. |
