Karlina Bella produced another promising and progressive performance on Monday at Enghien where the first three home all looked names to note with the "K" generation of runners continuing to develop this campaign.

The majority of the fourteen runners showed good early speed from behind the mobile and Karlina Bella had a strong early position, racing in fourth place two off the inside pegs. Turning into the home straight for the first time, the group were stretched out with over fifteen lengths covering first to last.

Kaysa de Thiezac was the filly fulfilling pace setting duties and passing the stands held the lead by two lengths. Eventual winner Karlina Bella, driven by David Thomain, was travelling nicely just behind the leaders in around fifth and sixth position as the field turned left-handed, eight lengths off the leader.

At the 1000m marker, the tempo was gradually beginning to increase, and the favourite – trained by Philippe Allaire – was starting to catch the eye making good headway on the outside moving to second place when exiting the far side of the course. On the final turn, there still appeared to be multiple chances and a good finish in prospect.

As the runners began the final run down the home straight, Kapaula de l'Epine had a narrow advantage of under one length, however the continuous headway being made by the favourite, Karlina Bella, proved to be too strong as the two fillies drew clear of the rest of the pack. Kinine de Montceau was staying on well but with 200m to go, Karlina Bella hit the front and she wasn't stopping at the line, winning with a little in hand continuing her progressive and promising form. Both Kinine de Montceau (second) and Karlita Madrik (third) stayed on well and made eye-catching progress in the closing stages and are also names to keep in mind going forward.

A two-year-old daughter of Charly du Noyer (who was a top-class performer including winning the 2016 G1 Criterium des 4 Ans (2850m)), Karlina Bella failed to finish on debut in August breaking stride, though did take a big step forward second up finishing runner-up at Caen last month before winning in a 1'15''8 at Enghien on Monday. Progressive and promising and a name to note for top connections.
