Rail - A Course

Race 1

#11 TURTLE AGAIN has been a slow developing son of PROISIR but receives a nice opportunity here to win in class 4.Forget he even went around last start because he was dragged back from the wide draw and the race was run too slow.
It'll be a different scenario on this occasion with a strong speed anticipated and a likely handy trailing position secured, with cover, from the draw.Mathew Chadwick only needs to coax him to the line with some hardcore riding and he can score.

#8 TO INFINITY is a three time winner over this course and trip and is almost back to his last winning handicap mark.Horrible barrier draws have been the costly factor at two of his past three starts but that shouldn't be the case tonight.
He was also badly held up three runs back when searching for room at a vital point. There's plenty of ticks along side his name in this event so I'd be reasonably surprised if he wasn't thereabouts.

#6 MR ALADDIN is still learning this caper but he'll be given another chance to run a good race from the draw. There's been money around at three of his past four starts so I'd be keeping him safe now his fit. He's been a bit one paced from time to time and continues to make mistakes during the run, but it wouldn't surprise if he put it all together soon and went on to win at the same time.

#1 VIVA HUNTER has won three of his four races over this course and distance but also been out of form for a while. However, a lot of the aforementioned racing was on the all weather track and excuses are offered a lot of the time.He does possesses the speed to cross this field and has recently dropped back in grade, so there's a strong chance he'll lead and take some proper running down.

#12 UNITED ENDEAVORS has a tricky gate to deal with in barrier nine and it'll probably force him back an extra spot in the run.Nevertheless, he's enjoy a solid season to date and lifted his rating in the process but it's worth remembering he's previously won in this grade.A familiar rider in Keith Yeung is aboard so it's hard to envisage and major drama from a riding perspective, therefore he's worth including in the tips.

Race 4

#6 YODA'S CHOICE is a 3yo taking on the older horses and possesses the speed to position handy in the run. He's gained plenty of experience during his opening two performances and should be further improve by fitness.
Zac Purton has now left the saddle which creates some caution however he doesn't have an alternative ride. His early and best trial performances were against quality established opponents so he's worthy of one more opportunity, or the jury is out.

#10 COLONEL has made a career out of leading races with frantic speed and that's precisely what he'll do again tonight. He'll easily have the runners drawn alongside and underneath covered for pace guarantees him finding the rail.
Once the established leader, he'll run solid sectionals up to the home bend before kicking hard down the home stretch. However, with class 4 horses chasing this time it's going to be tougher when he's ultimately asked to find the line.

#9 HERCULES has enjoyed a fruitful season to this point and accumulated a portion of prize money almost every time he's gone to the races. With that consistency his handicap rating has increased and the races are becoming harder but he's still reasonably well in.He did win a race of a handicap mark of fifty two back in 2021, so he's therefore difficult to leave out of all calculations.

#2 GOLDEN LUCK notched up his second career victory here last start after crossing over from wide out to lead. However, with an additional 6lbs to shoulder and another wide draw to exit from he can't afford any mistakes.Conversely, he's still on the up and recorded fast time when recently winning so he can't be completely ruled out.The outright lead or position outside COLONEL is where he'll be looking to position, but it may be a volatile excursion.

#4 SUPERB WITNESS has drawn poorly for his career and race debut but I wouldn't be underestimating his winning prospects to quickly. He's raced in the same interests as the almighty SILENT WITNESS and the owners are yet to purchase a galloper that doesn't know how to run.In his two latest barrier trials at Happy Valley he closed in well from behind, so the strong speed anticipated should suit. It's also worth mentioning, he's had nine trials in total since October last year, so I doubt if he'll be going in underdone.
